"Average neighborhood with lots of apartment living"
I spent a few years living on this street in Anaheim and the one thing that is engrained in my mind is how busy it was outside all the time, especially on weekends. The area beginning near Sycamore and Olive straight through to East Street is riddled with apartment complex, after complex, after complex. I still frequently travel down this street to get around town and while my old neighborhood hasn’t changed much as far as the residential living is concerned, there have been some nice improvements made to the Pearson Park are of Sycamore. I wouldn’t suggest living in this neighborhood if being around children and living in close quarters with other is an issue for you. Around here there’s little room for privacy and kids of all ages can be seen playing outside or hanging out with friends at the complex street corners. Beware of speeding in this area as well. It’s better to be safe than sorry and avoid hitting a child since they can spontaneously jump out into the street from time to time. With Anaheim High School on one end of Sycamore and Sycamore Jr. High on the opposite end (near State College Blvd.) weekday mornings and afternoons a parade of children can be seen walking up and down the street going to and from classes. So be prepared for slow travels during these times.
