"Gang Land - Don't Go There"
If you value your life, don't go to E. Tremont Ave, especially near West Farms Square. There are gangs that hang on the street day and night. At night, all I heard was shooting and constant yelling. When I walked down the street to a store during the day, riff raff hung out.
It was a very unsafe environment to live in. That is why I moved out. When I moved out, a friend of mine told me two people moved in the house in which I lived, at which time the violence increased. She told me two people were shot and killed in the entrance to the building.
E. Tremont Ave from West Farms Square till Morris Park Ave is definitely on long stretch of road to stay away from. The area after Morris Park is a lot better. It turns into a multiple lane highway and is always loaded with traffic. There are a ton of car dealers and autobody shops along the way. There are two buses that run along E. Tremont. There are only two subway stops in the area. One is at 180th St and Morris Park Ave (2,5) and the other at West Farms Square (2,5).
