Are homes up in the nearby canyons west of Fort Collins affordable? How much on average?

A search today shows 30 homes for sale in the nearby canyons, ranging from $65,000 to $1,500,000. Are they more affordable? Hard to say. Generally you are purchasing acres of land vs a lot in a subdivision and that increases the price. Of these 30, 11 are under $200,000. There are quite a few over $600,000. The average is skewed by the large number of high end homes.
