"Not the Safest"
Like most of the residential streets in East Palo Alto, Gonzaga Street is in a run-down neighborhood with a few investors purchasing the homes with hopes of getting in on the Silicon Valley real estate. The power lines run above ground, and the homes are reasonably sized but often overcrowded with multiple families, resulting in an abnormal amount of cars being parked in the road. Poverty is still abundant, although this has turned into more of a working-class neighborhood over the past ten years.
Jack Farrell Park lies right in the middle of the street, giving the area a little bit of a green patch in the midst of run-down homes. Like any street in this general area, the further south one ventures, the better off the neighborhood is, as it lies closer to the housing developments, Palo Alto and the 101.
One perk to this street? The investment value is GREAT.
