"Why not to live on Governor"

Top 10 Reasons to Not to Live on this Street!

1) UCSD Frat parties – since they don’t have houses, they rent cheap ones on Governor.
2) No sense of pride or community, it is pretty much just mean neighbors.
3) Walking distance to pretty much no where, you are stuck getting in your car and sitting in traffic.
4) It is wedged in between the 52, 805 and the 5, not my “ideal” location
5) No food around, have to venture up to UTC
6) While the park is nice, it is falling apart. There is only a softball field and no play structures and the kids go there to drink.
7) Traffic is just incredibly awful one-way roads in and out… it takes forever to get anywhere and it is wedged between freeways!
8) My house was broken into there, this time the police did come!
9) Absolutely no pretty vegetation
10) One redeeming quality --- Cheap Cheap Cheap!

"Family Neighborhood Feel"

Governor Dr is in the area of San Diego called University City. While it may only be 2 miles away from the more student-heavy area of UCSD, it gives you a completely different feeling of families, schools, parks, and a nice established neighborhood. You’ll find a local Henry’s Market and Starbucks on this street and a couple of blocks down you’ll find a small Vons grocery store too surrounded by many “mom and pop” shops varying from a donut shop to a down home Mexican restaurant.
