"To busy of an intersection for a park"
When I think of a nice park to take children I don’t envision it being so close to major streets like Ponderosa Park is. It’s located on the corner of Orangewood Ave. and Haster St. which is one of the cities busy intersections. If children are playing ball on the grass it’s very easy for them to run off and chase a stray ball into traffic. As far as I’m aware the park doesn’t have the best reputation and isn’t one of the best park Orange County has to offer. I do feel like it has some potential if it was cared for a bit better. The surrounding area is mostly apartments so there are always children and families walking around the park and neighborhood. If a serene atmosphere is what you’re looking for this wouldn’t be a good fit for you. I would suggest this area if you like living in the fast paced environment where noise is not an issue. If you travel up to Chapman Ave. you will also find plenty of places to stop in at for a bite to eat. Or you can stop at the local grocery store before the park and pick up items for a nice picnic of your own.
