"Curvy road with more trees than houses"
This is a fantastic residential road that curves through the trees, offering each home its own little patch of seclusion. Turning briefly into East Alder, the road ends at the marina on Lake Washington, giving homeowners with boats quick access to water sports and leisure within walking distance.
The street offers almost direct access to downtown Seattle, and the Seattle Metro travels right down the road so residents don't have to battle city traffic and parking. Three of Seattle's best medical centers, Swedish, Harborview and Virginia Mason, are just on the other side of Cherry Hill providing some of the best medical care in the country. There are also several elementary and high schools in the area, not to mention Seattle Central Community College and Seattle University all within about five minutes.
Capitol Hill lies just to the northwest of this street, providing outstanding nightlife, fabulous restaurants and quaint boutiques and shops. The communities of Cherry Hill, Capitol Hill and Madrona also support several locally-sponsored events for kids, families and adults. There are several parks in the area to enjoy some recreation, sports and playtime for kids of all ages.

"Great quiet winding street that leads right to the water"
Lake Dell Avenue is situated in a quiet and upscale neighborhood (at least in the residential portion). Views of Lake Washington are amazing at the top of the hill near the school as well as from the decks of most of these high end homes. If you follow Lake Dell toward Lake Washington you will curve around and run into E Alder Street which then takes you right to Lake Washington Boulevard which runs parallel to Lake Washington. Here you will find lots of restaurants and cafes as well as a number of retail shops. This is a nice area to jog and walk while getting some fresh air. The overrall neighborhood is quiet and not highly congested until you approach East Alder Street as well as the intersection at Lake Washington Blvd. Homes along Lake Dell are highly maintained and yards and shrubs are well manicured. The school at the top of the hill is considered to be one of the better Seattle public education schools in the area. Overrall the area is safe and a more exclusive Seattle neighborhood.

Lake Dell Ave
"A short and winding road..."
...leads you down the side of the hill to Lake Washington. Lake Dell only exists for a few blocks, but the magnificent views of Lake Washington that peek through on your ride down the hill make it worth the trip. Somehow those buses manage to snake their way down that hill - how that does happen? Anchored at the top of the hill by Leschi Elementary School, Lake Dell takes you down to the lake where you can enjoy fish and chips during the summer, or coffee at Starbucks anytime!
