"A quiet little street running through Strasburg"
I am frequently on Main Street in Strasburg and it is never busy. It's a quiet road that has two small apartment complexes and the rest of the road is lined with small homes and a Lutheran church. The church itself is over 100 years old and is a really cool old building to look at inside and out. Although there have been additions made throughout the years, you can still recognize where the main structure is and has remained over the years. It has small, but beautiful stained glass windows and a nice steeple. The homes are on the smaller side, but all of them have front and back yards and none look the same. They are well kept and this whole street (and town) has a nice, laid back feeling to it.
When you first turn off of the main street that runs the length of the town (Co Rd 2), there is a building that has just been turned into an acupuncture business. Within walking distance is a Subway sandwich shop, a Mexican restaurant, a hardware store, a bowling alley, a veterinarian's office, and the schools.
The one drawback to living on this street would be the dogs barking. There are a couple of homes on the north end of the street which has outdoor dogs that like to bark whenever someone or something is nearby.
Overall I think this would be a great street to live on. It's generally quiet, but close to most everything in Strasburg. I would recommend it for families or retirees.
