New Springville
"Great Golf Course and Close to Mall"
New Springville is centrally located on Staten Island’s West Shore. Residents of New Springville have easy access to a variety of stores and shopping, including the Staten Island Mall.
An affordable mix of homes are available in this neighborhood of Staten Island, from garden apartments and some mid-rise condos, to single family homes next to the LaTourette golf course, with some townhouses in between. This section of Staten Island is relatively new with most homes built from the mid 1970’s on. This area once suffered the wrath of the internationally recognized landfill (“The Dump”), which many of the uniformed still make reference to in their punch lines. The landfill has been closed for nearly 10 years and is set to become New York City’s largest park.
The news hasn’t been better for the residents who currently live in this community, as price appreciation has grown significantly as a result. Many homes on the south eastern side border the LaTourette Golf Course and feature homes with some considerable land as attractive features. Many mid rise condo’s adorn the northwestern side and offer affordability for those looking to downsize or provide an affordable option for first time home buyers. Shopping is never too far for this community, as the Staten Island Mall calls New Springville its home. Anything and everything can be found at this retail center.
