North 7th St
"Edgar Allen Poe, The Electric Factory, and More"
North 7th street is home to the Edgar Allen Poe National Historic Site, as well as the Electric Factory, the region's premier spot for rock outfits to come and show their stuff. It's a great area, alive with history, but is sadly rundown and no longer a viable place for anyone to live. I'd steer clear of the area if you don't have business here, but for day trips and excursions to these two sites, it's well worth the visit. From what I recall, it's a great place during the day, and not so great at night. It borders on the warehouse/club district, and it's not so friendly after the sun sets.
