"One of the best streets to live on in West Hollywood"
Alfred is a pretty tremendous street as far as living arrangements go. It's very quiet and there are a ton of trees and grass lining the street. It is, by and large, apartment living. But, the apartments run the gamut for big complexes to remodeled duplexes so pretty much any one that isn't a homeowner can find what they're looking for on Alfred. It is the quintessential Weho street, with people out running or walking their dogs pretty much all day leaving you to wonder: does anyone work around here?
It starts at Melrose Place and goes North. Melrose Place is mostly a bunch of hair and decorating places but there is a Dolce Vita shop there and Sweet Lady Jane is a stone's throw away. Alfred is permit parking only which sounds like a drag but is actually great. If you or someone you know lives here, you will never have to look for parking or pay for valet on La Cienega which is almost unheard of around these parts.
And Alfred is exactly on street east of Restaurant Row so while it's quiet and very residential there is a ton to do, literally, in your backyard if you live here. My best friend used to live on Alfred and we would walk from her place to Belmont, Spanish Kitchen, Koi, Roger Room . . you name it. The best part is that you can just walk home so you don't have to worry about having one drink too many. And, granted nowhere in any big city is safe, but Alfred's a pretty safe street as far as Los Angeles goes.
