"Standard EPA"
This is a standard, residential street in East Palo Alto. The town has a reputation for not being the safest, which is a manifestation of the gangs of the 90s and early 2000s. Since then, many of the gangs have been dismantled.
That said, this is not exactly the most beautiful street you will find. The power lines are still above ground, the fences are still wire rather than white picket, and the cops still patrol the street day and night. If you have a nicer-looking home, it is probably a good idea to install a more robust burglar alarm system. You may need it sooner than you think.
But if you're looking for cheap investment property not far from the heart of Silicon Valley and several major interstates, in an area that is residential and a home that actually provides some space, Purdue Avenue might not be a bad choice.
