"Shopping haven, not so great to live"
Hwy 167 in Renton ends at Rainier Avenue, which runs all the way to the east side of downtown Seattle. Traffic is usually a nightmare and several areas are less then hospitable. Most of the road is lined with shops, restaurants, businesses, car dealerships with very few houses. Parts, especially near Renton, have some nice trees planted, but the majority is bare (or seems like it) of any foliage. The road also travels through some less-than-desireable neighborhoods, though the new Seattle lightrail does include stops along Rainier Avenue. If you're going for a specific shop or destination on the street, make sure you plan a little extra time for all of the traffic and traffic lights you're going to encounter any day of the week.
