"Like living in a resort"
Randolph Avenue is great because it is a dead end street off of Baker Street, which tends to get a bit congested during rush hour - no one will be zooming down your street looking for a short cut! Right when you turn into Randolph, there is a large condo complex with beautiful waterfalls and plenty of greenery. As you follow it around, the road narrows and you will see a day care center on the right; yes, it is filled with screaming kids during the day, but, shouldn't you be at work then? At the end of the dead end are two more condo complexes. All of these condos have gated parking areas, which is great, as people have found out what a great location this is and street parking is hard to come by (especially since it is such a short street)!
If you are lucky enough to live in the condos that do not face Baker Street, then this street is amazingly quiet, especially since it is located in between the 405, 55 and 73 freeways - hello, perfect commute location! And you never, ever see your neighbors. Ever.
This is a funny area of Costa Mesa because even though Randolph is cute, if you go one street over (Jeffrey), it is full of rundown apartment complexes. Yet a couple of blocks away are South Coast Plaza and the OC Performing Arts Centre and tons of expensive restaurants. They are working hard to "dress up" this part of town, so it is a good place to buy an investment property for the future!
