River Ave
"Great living if you like a slightly old fashioned community."
This part of the Bronx is pretty good living quality and it gives you opportunity to explore the Bronx allot . Again this part of the Bronx has some pretty good stores nearby and there is a library not to far from this street. It is also a pretty safe neighborhood for children to be raised.

River Ave
"Yankees on the horizon"
River avenue is an interesting avenue in the Bronx for a variety of reasons. While it allows quick access to Harlem and 149th street at one end, this road also runs right into the old Yankee Stadium! While you can continue past the new stadium, I prefer to make a right turn, pass the old stadium, watch the construction (or deconstruction) and hang a right onto Sedgwick. I avoid a great deal of traffic on the Major Deegan by driving parallel to it. Being in a large city there are a variety of commercial enterprises along this lengthy road. Some places include car repair, warehouses, old New York markets, delis, and a long string of Yankees memorabilia and sports bars.

River Ave
"Great sports bars after watching a game at the Yankee Stadium."
River Ave is right under the 4 train and is along the Yankee Stadium. It can be a little crazy to drive in this area when there is a game, but the spirit that fills these streets is priceless. There is a sports bar on E 158th and River Ave that is a great place to get some beers after the game. The best part of River Ave is riding the 4 train and passing by the Yankee Stadium on my way to work.
