Saulnier St
"Nice street, and it is growing"
This area is no exception to the whole revamp that many cities in America are going through. They start out as nice areas, turning into not so nice areas, but now the trend is that the people who escaped to the suburbs around fifteen to twenty years ago are reclaiming their cities.
If you are a recent graduate or just have a fair amount of money, I suggest grabbing a piece of real estate here before the popularity skyrockets, along with the prices of the homes in the area.
Couples and singles will be glad to call this street home.

"Mixed neighborhood very close to downtown"
On this street you find a mix of housing types and people as the neighborhood is transforming from low-income to yuppie. There are large complexes of new (built within the past 5 years) townhomes. The townhomes are mostly modern, metal buildings that cater to the young business/corporate crowd. Surrounding these townhomes are old, single family shotgun-type homes. Every time I vist, I see fewer and fewer of these homes b/c they are being torn down to make room for the townhomes. The street is walking distance to downtown. There is a gay piano bar a block away and a nice sports bar two blocks away. I have felt unsafe on this street late at night. The parking is all street parking and I know people who have had their cars broken into and I also know someone who was mugged at gun point.
