Living in the South Beach neighborhood of San Francisco is a bit different than in other part of San Francisco because it is a newer section of the city with lots of expensive highrises but still having a feel of not being completed yet. You still get some construction sites and a general feeling that the buildings are just not fully occupied. (Which they are not.) With AT&T Park nearby this is definitely an up and coming area of the city that gives you a sense of what they want to do as they renovate the areas down to Hunter's point.
