"Collins St, Old and New"
Collins St, south of Interstate 30 is a vibrant collective of major entertainment venues, Sixs Flags Over Texas, Wet n Wild, Ranger Stadium and the new Cowboys Stadium that's nearing completion. There is a major Mall at its beginning, with major retailers and restaurants. This give way to older retail establishments as you get closer to the center of Arlington and the older core neighborhoods. After it crosses Pioneer Parkway (303) the older residential areas with schools and parks and churches emerge, then the business area that generally surrounds a major Interstate come into focus as Collins crosses I20. Collins St continues as the eastern boundary of Arlington's Municipal Airport then becomes "new" Collins St with new residential subdivisions, schools, parks, churches, medical facilities and neighborhood shopping areas until the street come to an end just beyond Highway 157.
