"A great street in Oakland!"
One of my favorite streets in Pittsburgh for strolling, dining, shopping, and people watching. Part of life for everyone from Pitt students from around the world, faculty, staff, visitors, and anyone seeking a great middle-eastern, Indian, gourmet, or American-style meal. Lots to see and do from Caliban Books to the Irish Design Center.
Pros
- Lots of buses handy
- Lots of restaurant choices in a few blocks
- Steps from museums, galleries, concert halls, the heart of Pitt's campus, and Schenley Park
Cons
- Patience required for parking--but it's there!

South Craig St
"Restaurants Galore in the Heart of Oakland"
Craig Street is home to restaurants of all shapes in sizes. Lulu's is a pan-asian restaurant which is very popular with the lunch crowd of professionals, hospital employees, and college and graduate students. Right on the corner of Craig Street and Forbes Avenue is Kiva Han, which is a local coffee shop. If you're just looking for a quick bite to eat, there is a Subway restaurant with a large seating area on Craig Street approximately halfway between Fifth and Forbes Avenues. The street also features a number of small shops, including a rare books store.

"S Craig Street - a must visit"
South Craig Street is a must visit place in the Pittsburgh area. It has very nice shops, like gift shops, old libraries and restaurants. You can find in this street very different food, like real american food, indian or even chinese food.
With a Starbucks on the corner, the street gives you all the options.

South Craig St
"A shopping street near Pitt"
This shopping street is one that new University of Pittsburgh students frequently venture onto in their early excursions away from the heart of campus. It has a number of eateries and used bookstores on the blocks between Forbes and Fifth. It has a nice atmosphere, but wheelchair access is limited to a number of buildings (especially the upper level stores), and the best stores are not open particularly late.
