"South Street , Philadelphia, PA"
There is always something fun, tasty & interesting to do on South street. There are various eateries like Jim's Steaks & Ishkabibbles for greta steaks. Lickety Split is an old time favorite for Pizza and atmosphere. The Famous 4th Street Delicatessen off of 4th & South always has great sandwiches. If you are a seamstress or Tailor you will love the fabric shops on 4th A.K.A Fabric Row. If you enjoy retail shopping Michele Olivieri on 6th & South is an interesting stop. Unica at 3rd & South has great clothes for women & Children.
I could go on about Fluid Night Club & TLA for great concerts for some of the best artist out today. You can get anything from clothing, fabric, furniture, food, Music, tatoos, piercings, Vintage clothing and more. All of this in the Downtown Philly area. This Street is one of the main reasons why I go back home as often as possible. Check it out!

"Great Place to Walk & Shop"
This is a fantastic street with a lot of character. You can drive down the street, but it would be at a very slow pace at night. Most people are walking. There are many different shops, restaurants, bars and clubs on this street. If you want to go out for a night, South street is where you want to go.

"Cool place to hang out"
It is very safe street to hang and live. I always go there while I need to just relax.
There is Jons' Pub which is my fav. There is two great shops for cheesesteak. So cheesesteak lovers must go down there. There are lots of other pubs and restaurants too.
There is a cap shop down the road which specializes mens'.
There is payless,RiteAid,CVS.
I wish I could live there.Every kind of shop is nearby. Not to far from center city.I would say it is perfect location for living around the city.
Super Fresh and Whole Foods are two attractions.Specially wholefoods.
Queen village is few blocks away.
If somebody likes river or the chill wind, South street must be a good place to live at.

"Crazy but getting cramped"
Oh, South Street. You give us cheesesteaks. You give us great venues like the TLA. But you also give us crazy kids who think cruising is cool. It's an interesting area, but slowly being overwhelmed by people with lowriders and not much else to do on a weekend. Tourists are also catching on, and it seems to be getting more and more crowded lately.

"The Craziest Street in Philadelphia"
The eastern end of South Street is probably one of the craziest streets in Philadelphia. It has an eclectic mix of nightclubs, restaurants, and shops that probably couldn't be found elsewhere in the city. One of the better places to get a cheesesteak, Jim's steaks, is right in the mix on South St. It is an interesting place to go with a group of friends for food and shopping or a night out, but probably not the best place to take the kids. Parking is very difficult at night, but somewhat easier to find during the day or on Sunday.

"Busy, busy, busy"
South Street is one of the more popular streets in Philadelphia, though it is becoming more and more of a tourist destination. The street is packed with shops, bars, and restaurants. Jim's Steaks might be the most recognizable eatery and seems to have a line no matter when you go (I'd put them in the top three cheesesteak places in Philly). The Fillmore at the TLA is also located on South Street and is still a great place to see a show.
Parking is a nightmare, though there are nice metered lots towards the waterfront and a parking deck nearby.
