Union St
"Upscale shopping and living"
Union street is another upscale shopping and living area in San Francisco. You will find everything here, from bars and lounges to antiques stores. Be prepared to spend some money if you come here. Union street is home to the Fantasy of Lights holiday celebration, definitely worth looking up if you are in the area.

Sacramento St
"Another upscale shopping area"
There is some great shopping to be had on Sacramento street, if you are willing and able to part with some large sums of money. While there are a great deal of cute boutique type stores on Sacramento street, there are also many galleries and higher end salons. Fun to visit, but only of you are in the mood to spend a lot.

Fillmore St
"Can get expensive"
Fillmore street is home to residential and business areas. There are areas that offer some fun shops and restaurants, but be prepared to spend a lot of money if you visit the area. There are some interesting antique stores and galleries here, so you could just visit to enjoy the scenery and window shop.

Chestnut St
"Cool place to hang out"
Chestnut street is home to a bunch of funky places to eat and shop. It is often really busy with pedestrian traffic, and can be a fun place to hang out with friends. It is a great place to people watch and feel the vibe of the city and neighborhood.I would definitely recommend spending a few hours here to shop, eat, and just enjoy the city.

Fulton St
"Not worth visiting"
Fulton street is mainly residential. There are some businesses in the area, but nothing too spectacular. I would not recommend going on this street at night, because it borders on the park and there have been a number of reported drunk individuals there at night. There have also bee several violent crimes against women in the park.
Haight St
"Strange, but good"
Haight street is legendary. Everyone has heard of it. The main reason to visit would be to go shopping at all of the funky stores in the area. There are many to choose from. It is definitely a scene for couples and singles. It is worth visiting just for the rich history and funkiness!

"Busy street, but great views!"
Lincoln Blvd is a main street and can get congested with traffic during the day. Despite this, there are places on Lincoln that are extremely serene and beautiful. There is an awesome place to take a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge from Lincoln Blvd. You will most likely recognize the angle when you take a picture! Definitely worth the drive to take an awesome picture and see the amazing view.

John F Kennedy Dr
"The street going through Golden Gate Park"
John F Kennedy Drive is the main street that goes through the amazing Golden Gate Park. There are so many different things to do in Golden Gate Park that if you take a drive down John F Kennedy Drive you are bound to find something you will love to do. The street is partially closed on Sundays so you may have to detour onto side streets.

Lyon St
"Super cute, and a great place to work out!"
Lyon Street is awesome. There are a ton of amazing different sights to see. It is a great street to walk during the day because of the variety of scenery. If you are visiting and want to get a great work out, the street turns into a set of stairs between Broadway and Green. It is very steep, and a great place to get a heart pumping workout fast! Also on this street is the Exploratorium, an amazing museum that definitely merits a visit.

Lombard St
"You can't visit San Francisco and miss Lombard Street"
Lombard Street is one of the places that you have to visit when you travel to San Francisco. It takes some time to drive the length of the entire street, and it is definitely slow going, but it is worth doing once in your life. Be careful and watch for pedestrians and traffic hazards, and drive slowly.

Highland St
"This street is dangerous."
Do not live here or visit here. There is a ton of gang activity on this street and it is absolutely not safe for anyone to live here. The street is claimed by a gang and is extremely dangerous. People have been murdered here. Vandalism, graffiti, and property crimes are common. There are too many gangs here and too much crime.
North Euclid St
"Don't come here."
This is not a nice area of town. I would not recommend living here. If you are considering purchasing a house here or getting an apartment here, I would suggest that you come here at night and see what it is like before you decide. It is not the type of environment that feels safe and secure. There is a lot of neighborhood activity at night.

"Everything is on Main Street!"
There are so many different things to do on Main Street. Some of the best include the Discovery Science Center, The Bowers Museum, and Main Place Mall. The shopping at Main Place is great. The street becomes very slow around rush hour, so I wouldn't recommend traveling on it between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Find another route unless you don't mind sitting in traffic and people watching!
East 17th St
"Lots to do!"
This is definitely a great place to go for an afternoon of shopping fun. I would recommend coming here on a weekday afternoon and shopping in one of the many fun stores, getting a coffee, or getting dinner in one of the restaurants. I have never personally been to the area at night, so I am not sure what it is like after dark but during the day when the stores are open it is fun!
Larchmont Ave
"One of the better locations in Santa Ana"
This street is relatively quiet and low key compared to other areas of Santa Ana. Homes here are moderately priced and located close enough to schools and retail establishments to be convenient. I would recommend that families and couples check out the area first to get a feel of it before making the decision to purchase a home here.
East Bishop St
"A lot of problems here"
There is a lot of crime on this street, including gang related activity. There are also schools located on this street, creating a bad situation for kids in the neighborhood. I would not recommend living here to anyone, especially families with kids. The gang element overpowers all of the better things such as retail and dining establishments that this street has to offer.
Civic Center Dr East
"Lots going on all the time."
This is a very busy street! The Civic Center is located on this street, as is the Santa Ana Public Library, Santa Ana Police Department, and the Orange County Jail. Parking can be a pain because of all of the activity going on here on a daily basis. It is definitely worth seeing the area for it's historical value alone; many of the buildings are on the historic register.

East 3rd St
"Does not feel safe"
I would not recommend that anyone live or visit here. There is a great deal of criminal activity here on a regular basis, including public drunkenness, drug use, and vandalism. There are frequently people walking the streets at all hours of the night and in various stages of intoxication. I would not feel comfortable walking around here alone at night.
Civic Center Dr West
"Hub of activity"
There are a lot of things located on this street, including Santa Ana College. This creates some problems with traffic, especially when school is in session and active. I would recommend avoiding this street anytime between 8:00am and 8:00pm if you are in a hurry. There is also a lot of cruising activity that goes on here at night. Despite all of these issues, however, there are a lot of different things to do on Bristol

North Ross St
"Don't live here!"
I would not recommend that anyone live here, especially if you have children. There is almost constant noise and police activity. Sirens, traffic noises, and helicopters are common. As a woman, I would not feel comfortable living here alone or even walking out to my car after dark. I would definitely recommend avoiding this area.
