"USF on Fulton"
There is a beautiful spot on Fulton, where it travels up to a high spot on the hill overlooking the bay. That spot is the University of San Francisco Law School. The grounds are impressive and highly groomed, and it is a wonderful place to get away from the noise and bustle!

"What can I say about Fulton St.?"
Fulton street is almost always a busy street. I run into traffic most of the time and it's just a long drive from end to end. Although this street does have it's downs, the ups are location, location, location. I don't to many places in the city, but the places I do go to are usually somewhere off of Fulton. This is my favorite part of the street. I find everything.

"Needs improvements...but not totally hopeless"
Fulton Avenue may be the northern most boundry for the golden Gate Park, but it is mainly retail developments that need major improvements. The streets need updating the landscaping is comming along but seriously lacking the amount of flair to draw in the tourist. However in spite of the average tourist might not seem to congergate to this location we did and found a few suprises, like Deback Malick resturnat located at Bedford and Fulton and the new little french bistor Autour du Monde by clinton and Fulton. Hopefully the Fulton Avenue Association can make the improvements to the area that it needs to restore this area to its former glory.

Fulton St
"The Long Stretch."
Fulton Street stretches from the Great Highway to Webster Street, and is a fairly long and straight street. Located in the Richmond District, Fulton lines the north edge of Golden Gate Park. You can basically get anywhere inside the park if you enter through Fulton. On the other side of Fulton are residential houses, which are typical two-story houses and occasional three-story apartments. There is a lack of nightlife mostly because Golden Gate Park doesn’t host many events in the evening. However, throughout the year during the daytime, there are tons of great things to do. You can go pedal-boating, have a picnic, visit a museum, or attend concerts in the park. It’s very family-friendly. The 5 runs the entire length of Fulton Street, and to the University of San Francisco if you attend school there.

"Busy busy street - great for students!"
Fulton is a terrible street to be living on, because of all the traffic. There’s a huge hill on Fulton that’s great for running if you are into fitness and whatnot. Also, there’s ample parking because Fulton is such a long street, but it gets very busy during the weekends. Up the hill is USFCA, so if you do live on Fulton it’s a great place for a USFCA student because you can just take the bus up the hill to get to class.

"Not worth visiting"
Fulton street is mainly residential. There are some businesses in the area, but nothing too spectacular. I would not recommend going on this street at night, because it borders on the park and there have been a number of reported drunk individuals there at night. There have also bee several violent crimes against women in the park.
Fulton St
"A busy street that runs across the city."
A street that runs through the Richmond district to Fillmore district until City Hall. It runs along Golden Gate Park. Has access to muni buses all along the street. Safe in some areas and not too safe around the Fillmore districts. It goes by Alamo square. Also it runs by University of San Francisco. This street is residential in one half and has some businesses in the other half. Has access to many things like banks or stores. Pretty busy most of the time. A good street for families on the richmond side because it is close to parks and playgrounds. Overall a good street to be on.

Fulton St
"Quiet, mainly residential street"
Fulton Street runs along the north side of Golden Gate Park, from the Pacific Ocean and then a bit beyond, all the way to Franklin. It is fairly fast-moving. It is mainly residential, although towards the ocean side there's a Safeway. The section alongside the Park is fairly nice, and just beyond the Park, on the east side, is the University of San Francisco, which is a beautiful place. As Fulton enters the Western Addition/Tenderloin area, the scenery changes a bit, and this is probably not a great area to be after dark.

"Next to Golden Gate Park, but very busy."
Fulton Street is probably one of the longest streets in all of San Francisco as it extends from the Great Highway all the way to Franklin Street. Fulton Street, a lot like Geary Boulevard and Lincoln Way, is a commuter’s road. Many commuters take this road to get to work and to get back home. What also makes this road a commuter’s road is that it is the main route for the 5 Muni bus. During the weekends, Fulton Street is quite busy as many joggers and bikers from the neighboring areas go to Golden Gate Park for a little jog or bike.

"Fulton St. - Busy Richmond district street north of Golden Gate Park"
Fulton is a busy commercial street mostly in the Richmond District of San Francisco. The 5 Fulton Muni bus line runs along Fulton from 48th Avenue all the way downtown to Market Street. This street is the northern border of Golden Gate Park, and the two entrances from the Richmond going into the Sunset are on Fulton, at Park Presidio and 25th Avenue to be exact. Fulton Street is predominantly full of residences and there are no restaurants or stores. Tourists can access the De Young museum in Golden Gate Park from Fulton on 8th Avenue. Another gate going into Golden Gate Park from the Richmond district is on Arguello and Fulton. If you drive along Fulton, you will eventually reach Market Street in downtown.

"Fulton St: Beautiful and camera worthy"
Fulton street is a very long street, but it has so many forms of entertainment. The greatest and most beautiful place on Fulton is Golden Gate Park. This park is great for running, sports, picnics, or any other family gatherings. It is a fantastic place to take pictures with families or friends to capture great memories. The park is filled with trees so it is a great view for those that live across from the park. There are also a Fulton Playground on this street too. This street has great houses, mostly two stories, and apartments. There are cafes and restaurants scattered around so there are places to eat. This street is an all around great place to just relax or hang out.

"Beautiful street to visit"
Fulton is a very busy street and is often has many car accidents. Fulton is a large street and it starts at ocean beach and ends near city hall. Fulton has a bus line so it is easy to commute our get there if you’re a tourist. Golden Gate Park is right next to it and it very beautiful. Fulton also has a spectacular rose garden at park presidio. There are many apartments along Fulton and also houses so there are many residents and I suggest you bring a camera with you if you visit because there are many beautiful sights.

"Fulton Street is a keeper."
Fulton Street, not to be confused with Filbert St like I kept doing, is a great refreshing and breathtaking drive. Lots of scenic beauty here. Many parks are scattered around it and a great musuem. You will definitely want to have your camera with you. At least, if you're like me and take quirky pictures anywhere of anything. Great place to visit. I like it. I like it a lot.

"Busy street that runs along the north end of Golden Gate Park"
Fulton Street is a big and busy street that runs all the way from Ocean Beach to two blocks away from City Hall in downtown San Francisco. It runs along side Golden Gate Park for a large portion of the street. There is a lot of green on the Golden Gate Park side with random entrances to GGP all the way down Fulton that will lead to recreational activities such as playgrounds.
The street itself is pretty busy but there is a lot of housing. The area contains a lot of single family homes and apartment buildings. University of San Francisco is also very close by to Fulton Street so there are naturally a lot of young college students nearby there.

"Too Loud to Live On... but a lot of parking"
The part of Fulton that I live on runs right along side the park which would seem nice but the buildings are very close to this 4 lane thoroughfare and it's a straight-shot to the ocean from the downtown area of San Francisco which creates enough passers. Very rarely is there a lot traffic per say but a steady flow of cars go by and they are loud when you are so close to the street. The park across the street has a lot of large trees and somewhat natural rustic trails, so mostly in the shade. It is part of the Golden Gate Park. The park spans many miles and the portion that I live near is called the Speedway. The most frequent use for this section is for the sport "disk golf" or Frisbee but the disk is somewhat smaller. Also, there are joggers that use this part of the park as a larger span of distance in their exercise. But for the most part there is not a lot of activity in the Speedway across the street and because it is a bit dark and uneventful it can be a bit spooky and frankly dangerous to wander alone in. Not to mention the rape that was reported about 6 months ago and the occasional drunk or homeless person we have heard making themselves be known in the wee hours of the night. These are not regular occurrences but certainly not incentive to take a stroll whenever you feel like doing so. I take public transportation and have found at night I stay as far away from that side of the street as possible and when forced to be there I am likely to get scared and run back across the street as soon as possible. However, I should say I am spooked easily or have that tendency about the park and have only frequented it twice briefly (not alone) in the 1 and a half years I've lived here. The positive side to having the park across the street is there is only half as many houses on the street which means half as many parking cars and therefore more spots to park in when you need to and without circling the block to locate a newly emptied parking spot that will only allow 30 minutes... Here there is always plenty of parking on both sides of the street and only street cleaning limitations once a week. There are also no parking meters. It is free and clear which is a rarity here. It isn't like this the entire length of Fulton but for the most part, it is free and not a huge problem to park. . The short jaunt to the ocean would be nice but San Francisco is not known for it's beaches or sunny beach weather. Overall, the ocean area, referred to as the Sunset or Richmond districts are the coldest in San Francisco and have the most overcast and fog of anywhere in the city. The closer to the ocean, the more windy and misty it gets. If that is something you like, then this is a positive attribute. Luckily I live pretty far in (close to 20 blocks from the beach) and it does make a considerable difference. This area is void of any real night life and has only a few less popular shopping areas. These are far from Fulton Street. The closest corner store is 4 blocks away and grocery store 7 blocks. This makes having not vehicle a bit more inconvenient for most although not impossible. The transportation or Muni bus line is conveniently located on every other block and comes somewhat frequently (approximately every 15 minutes, slowing to one every half hour later in the evening but running 24 hours). The bus goes from the ocean all the way to the center of downtown, passing many transfer hubs and areas that are more popular to frequent for the things that the city is known to offer. It is pretty fast to get from here to there. In general people complain about Muni but it isn't so bad most of the time... Most of this part of the city is residential and consists of blocks and blocks of small to medium sized family homes. Not much of a singles scene here. There are a lot of schools and school age children as well as the occasional college student that attends SF State not far in the Sunset district but the population is fairly highly populated with Asian Americans. Their culture brings a flavor to the businesses that are here and the general feel of the neighborhoods. It is quite and less colorful as such an area as the Mission district of SF. With that may bring less traffic and possibly less crime. I don't know for sure about the actual statistics but it would seems so. This also means a bit less exciting for singles and younger people. I have said too much but this was mostly what I could say to the fullest and that is what I did. Wear a sweater and be alert. You can drive here or take the Muni Line 5. If you want to eat out it will likely be Asian food and plan on visiting someone at their residence, probably an apartment and feeling close to the park, enjoying the view of the greenery but not likely to stroll there. You will be annoyed trying to get across the street because of the fast driving cars steadily whizzing by. You may hear the laughter of children or dogs being walked by a conservatively dressed man or woman. Noone really looks too typical here except the safety of our Asian neighbors who are very good neighbors and never are invasive. You won't likely have to attend neighborhood watch meeting and may wonder who even lives next door because you never even see or hear them. And that's it. Thanks for getting this far in this run on.

pinkapple, what a fantastic review of Fulton, I really enjoyed reading it. If you ever get a chance would love to see a video, especially of the park and the "disk golf"!
