"A South Modesto Main Street"

This and Crows Landing Rd. are the main drags for this area, this is where you go when you dont have anything better to do and want to get out of the house. Theres a bunch of stip malls and shopping centers on this street and a few fast food joints dotted along the road aswell. There is also freeway access to highway 99 from this road.

"My old home street!"

While the neighborhood has aged some since I lived there I still love to visit my folks here when I get the chance. The neighborhood I will say could use some spring cleaning theres alot of really bad looking old homes in the area. But all in all I would say its a quiet place to live and would'nt mind raising a little one there myself.

"A Great Street"

There is nothing particularly exciting about this road, it leads in to a buch of homes just like all the other streets around it. But I love this street because when I visit modesto and I turn onto this street I know I'm almost back to my old home.

"A cool stop to hang out"

This is a cool area, theres a huge park called Beard Brook Park that connected to the legion park area and you can stop and get out to see the river that runs threw most of lower modesto. This is a great area to jog and there are benches here for cook outs and Bday party's.

"Small 2 lane road"

This is a small little road with only 2 lanes, theres not much traffic on it which is nice. This is a residentual area and the only real thing to see off of it is mancini park. I dont know why they call it River Rd. because you cant actually see the river from it, if you want to see the river you have to go all the way over to beard brook park to check it out.

"The Edge Of Modesto's Downtown"

This street starts waaay over on E. Hatch Rd. and ends on W. Briggsmore Ave. but the best of this street is located between Needham St. and D St. most notable in what I can best describe as modestos downtown is the 10th street plaza which is oddly located on 9th & K St. with parking in between K & L St.

"Also Know As California State Route 132"

This is an old road, before the interstate was built this was how people got from the foothills down to San Francisco. Now there not much use for it outside normal every day use as a main street. Theres a big park on S. Santa Rosa Ave. & Yosemite blvd, you can see the parking and some of the tree from it off on the side of the road. Further east theres a lot of little stores and whole in the wall food joints. If you keep headed east on Yosemite blvd. theres not much past Santa Fe Ave. till you hit the town of Waterford.

"Small air port road"

This is the street that modesto's county air port is on, this is by no means a large air port but you can catch a shuttle here to SFO and from there get a regular flight. There no much to say about this one except like i said it's small and no frills.

"San Frans gay mecca"

This is the epicenter of gay activity in san francisco, at 17th st. & castro st. its the famous rainbow flag. theres the usualy S.F. drudge no parking and to many cars on the street, buts its not as bad as some streets. tourists will want to check out the castro theatre but check the homophobic feelings before at the door because you will be bombarded by homosexual imagery and openly gay men all over the street. theres also lots of shops and many great places to eat, i would recomend this street to any open minded person be they hetro or homosexual.

the street has cars sharing portions of the street with buses and trolly's it can be a nightmare for a first time visiter, its a hub to many other parts of the city due to all the mass transit access theres trolly stops and bus stops all over the street. theres also tons of shops and places to eat on the street, this is probably one of the best places to visit if you're headed to S.F. and not looking for touristy locations.

"few good things north of the strip"

theres few places of interest north of the strip. immediately after s. las vegas blvd turns into n. las vegas blvd you see one of the first notable land marks, vas vegas city hall. further up the street at e. washington ave & n. las vegas blvd there are 2 parks the fantasy park and lions memorial park. probably the most notable site on n. las vegas blvd is the las vegas motor speedway where they hold nascar events.

theres 2 big named casinos on this street near the i15, the palm and the rio. past the 2 casinos theres alot of stip malls and such. if you head further down the road theses just a bunch of houses.
if you drive past arville st you've gone to far and wont see much. this is a good area to visit if your in a car or up to take a bus but i would not suggest heading to either the palm of the rio by foot, its to long of a walk in the desert heat.

the freemont street experience is a sight to behold, the street dead ends at freemont st. & 4th st. there are several historical casinos there that have all come together to build a cover on top of the street that lights up at night like a giant tv. theres always alot of people there and they serve giant margaritas for a few bucks (last time i went) this is the second best place to visit in las vegas.

also of notable mention freemont st. was the first paved street in las vegas.

"the heart of the city"

this is the heart of las vegas, all the major hotel/casinos are on this street between e. tropicana blvd and e. sahara blvd. theres also lots more going on there then just gambling, theres a very active night life scene, resturants, high end shopping, and even family entertainment. if your new to vegas or gambling in general, try to find information about comp services. casinos often give players free gifts, free meals, and more just for playing in there casinos. its very competitive and gamblers would be very smart to take advantage of these offers.

"A bad Street In A Bad Area"

You know a Streets bad when the cops dont even roll down it or the pizza guy dosent deliver to address on it after dark. Theres a few half way houses on the street and alot of people just like to hang out on the side walk doing nothing good. Theres a mix of houses and apartments on the street with open parking in the middle of the street near the apartments. This is one street I would recommend staying away from that is unless you a street thug or drug addict.

"A good Place to Go"

Theres actually alot to do on this street, it may seem small and inconspicuous but this sleepy street holds some real jems for the people in the surrounding area. Near Collage Ave & College Grove Dr. theres a Former Mall turned Shopping center. Theres a Walmart, Longs Drugs, Mervens, & Lowls.

If you want somthing to eat theres a few places to get something to eat like a togos in the walmart parkinglot or a star bucks on the other side of the shopping center.

for fun and recreation theres 2 different venues, the bowling alley has been there since the original shopping center was created. its a pretty good sized alley with no real crowds. The second place is a nature reserve called Chollas Heights Reservoir theres a small body of water there with a nice trail along it. theres always plenty of people there and alot of people bring there dogs for walks at the site.
across the street theres a park aswell with 2 base ball diamonds, the park is also called chollas or chollas park.

along time ago there was also a private radio controlled airplane runway here but that was in the early 90's and i dont know if its there anymore.

"Not A Good Street To Raise A Family"

This is the main road into Spring Valley Ca. theres a few apartment complexes along the road but it mostly consists of stip malls and fast food joints. The neightboorhood surrounding it is low to middle income. Theres not much crim but its still not the type of place you'd leave your doors unlocked it or the face plate to your stereo in the car. "A questionable Street"

This is a very odd place on one side you have some of the worst locations to live in san diego and on the other there are some quite livable middle class areas. Thats the biggest downside to the street, second being the high traffic which makes it pretty hard to live on directly. On the positive side theres plenty of places with in driving distance to eat and shop at and theres a elementrary school and high school close by.
