"You Never Know What Pleasant Surprise You Might Find"

For as close to Wilshire Boulevard as Ashton Avenue is, this street is nestled quietly behind the commercial business buildings that line the aforementioned Wilshire. Students enjoy a quiet home living environment with easy access to campus via UCLA's shuttle service. The apartments are well maintained and provide an easy walk to restaurants, shops and banking services, as well as a local park across Veteran Avenue for fun and active lifestyles.

"Comfortable Off-Campus Student Living"

Ophie Drive is a quieter turnoff from Veteran Avenue, where campus traffic connects drivers between Wilshire and Sunset Boulevards. The students on Ophir that walk throughout the day are pleasant, but can be noisy on weekend evenings when athlete gatherings can get louder than audibly acceptable. Some of the buildings are kept in good shape by their respective managements and provide a collegiate touch sure to evoke remembrances of one's university days. The proximity to Westwood Village and to all points of the campus made this street very helpful to use by foot or car during my time there.

"Good Off-Campus Student Living"

Levering Avenue is a busy thoroughfare to foot traffic, due to the students that make their way to and from class on campus throughout the day. Vehicular traffic is less than other streets like Gayleys that provide entries and exits to campus access. The students on the street that walk throughout the day are more than pleasant, except when they are those stumbling from a party nearby. Some of the older building give a sense of history and some of the newer ones offer above average living amenities. The proximity to the Village and to campus made this street very efficient for me during my time there.

"Better Than Average Off-campus Student Living"

Gayley Avenue is a busy thoroughfare congruent to the hustle and bustle of UCLA. The students on the street that walk throughout the day are pleasant, except when they are those stumbling from a party on Fraternity Row. The scene is not to write home about, but provides a sense of collegiate nostalgia sure to bring back memories. The proximity to the Village and to campus made this street very efficient for me during my time there.

"Serenity on the Westside"

Manning Avenue is a tranquil street shuttered from the hustle and bustle of Santa Monica Blvd. The residents on the street that walk in the mornings before work and evenings afterwards are more than pleasant, and so are their pets. The scene is very picturesque, with traditional lamposts and trees cascading over the street perfect for a sunroof staredown. This was my favorite street to live on in West Los Angeles.
