Farmdale Ave
"Decent family area"
This is a family residential area in Los Angeles. There are a few multi-family homes but the majority of the homes are single residence family homes. There aren't in fine dining establishment around here but it is very close to Culver City where you'll find some great places. There are a lot of trees on this street so there is also a lot of foliage too. Parking isn't very hard to find either. If it not at your door you can usually find a spot a few feet away since most residences have private driveways. Its quiet and neighbors usually keep to themselves.

West Queen St
"Lots of families"
It not the best looking neighborhood but there are lots of familes there. It is a mix of Latino's and African American's predominately. There are lots of families here and a local high school as well. The houses are average and on the small side with duplex and single family homes throughout. Its also very close to a police station and a library and shopping! Parking is good but not excellent.

North Mariposa Ave
"A little slum"
This area is horrible area there is little to no street parking and the apartment building are pretty run down here. The street are dirty and it is not uncommon to spend up to half an hour looking for parking, Its not a family environment at all and it is a very poor community with obvious over crowding. Its not an area to raise a family and there are no parks. I'd stay away from this area unless you've got limited options.

Empire Dr
"Nice street and quiet"
This is a great area in Los Angeles it has a lot of apartment with parking too! There is street parking and it's not by permit so that a great plus for visitors. There are always people walking their dogs in the neighborhood and its very green too. You'll have to do a little walking to get to public transportation but it is accessible and the area is not overrun with liquor stores or fast food restaurants. People are friendly but its not a lot of foot traffic since most people drive everywhere they go.

Degnan Blvd
"Nice Quiet Street"
I like this street a lot. This isn't an area where you'll find apartments or duplex apartments here. This is a homeowner's area and this area has unusually large streets like most of the residential streets that surround it. Homes are kept up well and you'll find some great yard sales around here. There are great yard sales that go on in this neighborhood. It is a good healthy mix of elderly and families living here. It's just another quiet area in an urban community.

11th Ave
"Great street with lots of green grass"
I've been spending a lot of time on this street for the last three years and it is nice. It located in Los Angeles in the Leimert Park district and people take care of their houses there. There are quite a few rebuilt houses in this area and it is very green will well taken care of lawns. Its a mix of older retired adults and families raising their children. It's very close (walking distance) to Westfield's Shopping center and there is a Walmart there. Its quiet too. There is a junior high school in walking distance. The streets are in great condition too and that's a plus for Los Angeles.

West Regent St
"A good place with tons of parking"
Regent Street in Inglewood, CA has a plethora of parking ever since they changed the parking from curbside to parallel parking a little over two years ago. I used to never be able to find parking but now its a snap. There are homes and gated condominiums here and it very secure and safe. There is a police station too on Regent which increases the safety factor. Also the streets are wide so driving down the street is easy. A public library is less than a mile away and and health clinic as well as a high school. Public transportation, shopping and very close freeway access to the 405 freeway.

West Blvd
"Old passed down family homes"
This is a very wide street which is a plus. You will definitely get your dose of helicopters with search lights flying overhead during the day and night. The house on this street a majority two stories but there is close shopping at the Midtown shopping center and a roller rink. If you have kids they will have other children to play with. Most people who live here are living in family passed down houses. Many are very noticeably in need of repair. There are a couple of houses that have been redone so if you are looking for a steal in an area the looks like it going through regentrification you should grab a home here and wait it out because the neighborhood is changing for the better.

West Adams Blvd
"Another urban city street with no curb appeal"
West Adams Blvd. on the Westside of Crenshaw blvd is definitely not for the family oriented type. There are an abundance of liquor stores, second had shops, auto shops, churches and more. It’s a mash-up of every type of business you could think of and even some seedy motels with a few apartments scattered through. There is great access to public transportation and fast food not far away on the blvd. but no fine dining.

"S. Budlong Ave The University Area"
South Budlong Ave in the USC area is a quiet street for the most part. There is student housing mixed in with residential housing. In my experience living here I’ve noticed the majority of the time it is pretty quiet with the occasional wild party from the students. However, that more likely to happen in September before fall quarter starts and after the students have moved back in and at the end of every quarter and tapers off usually by the second quarter when the students buckle down. It’s not a great area but it usually has low activity and stores and food in walking distance.
