"Nice Staten Island Neighborhood"
Arrochar is a very nice and quite Staten Island neighborhood. It is definitely a residential area with not much to do. There is not any night life but it is really easy to drive into Manhattan for that so it is not completely secluded. You can also take the Staten Island ferry to and from Manhattan. Although the area is diverse there is a large Italian community here. I like the area because of its quaint feel. Your neighbors are not in your business which is very common in other neighborhoods. Everyone here just does there own thing. One main thing that it is very important is to have a car because public transportation is not the best. It’s a great neighborhood to raise a family in because it’s very safe and traffic is not bad.

"This is an average neighborhood"
Astoria is mostly a residential area with many small businesses. People and children are always on the streets. It is a very lively place. Queens in general is very diverse. Astoria is no different it is a multicultural neighborhood with a large Ecuadorian community. Everything is easily accessible. You can walk to most places or take public transportation. It is also extremely easy to get into Manhattan with public transportation. The neighborhood is also home to Astoria Park. I love this park, it is really great to take a jog or bike ride. Kids love the park too. The Triborough Bridge goes right through the park. It also offers a lot facilities like the very popular pool and tennis court. I’ve had tons of fun at this park.

"Amazing neighborhood NYC"
I absolutely love living in this neighborhood. It is extremely safe. Although, I have not seen very many celebrities. The Upper East Side is known for its high profile residents. I love the fact that I am within walking distance to Central Park. When people come to visit Central Park is the first place I take them. It is a great neighborhood to take a leisurely walk through. There are so many restaurants to choose from in all price ranges. You would be surprised that not all the restaurants are extremely expensive. You can find a 5 star restaurant on the same block as a $2.00 a slice pizza shop. I find the area diverse in that way. The transportation is great because cabs frequent the area and public transportation is easily accessible.

"Not the best of Brooklyn"
I lived in Sunset Park for a few years. It is a lively neighborhood with a large Hispanic community. People are always outside even in the dead of winter. It is not the safest neighborhood during the night especially along 3rd, 4th and 5th Avenues. There are many parks for kids to play and there is a strip of stores along 5th Avenue. You'll find $10 and up clothing stores, jewelry stores, 99 stores and discount stores mostly. The neighborhoods best quality is the accessibility to transportation. There are many buses and the train stations are within walking distance. So, you can easily get into Manhattan. There are also many schools in the area that are easily accessible either by walking or by public transportation. There is park by the name of ‘Sunset Park’ in the neighborhood and I believe it to be the highest point in Brooklyn you can actually see the Statue of Liberty in the distance from the park.

"Full House Neighborhood"
I lived in Alamo Square for a year and it’s really a beautiful neighborhood and great weather. Yes! The very popular television show full house featured the homes across from Alamo Square Park. That was really exciting for me. The park is spectacular kids are always playing in the park. I would jog in the park everyday. The people are really nice too. The San Francisco skyline offers a great view from Alamo Square. It’s really an attractive neighborhood while I lived there I wanted to be outdoors all the time because it’s such a great place and very safe. I also enjoyed the restaurants. They offered great food. I would recommend the Alamo Square Seafood Grill. Yummy!!! I always did the Prix Fixe menu which was fairly inexpensive and delicious.

72nd St
"Safe and Quiet street"
There really isn't anything to do and not many eating options are offered on this street. But, it is a very attractive and safe location. The streets are pretty much deserted at all times of the day. I haven't seen any building more the than 3 stories high. All the buildings are right up against each other like most streets in Brooklyn.

"Quiet Residential Location"
This is a nice residential area. Filled with small businesses and attractive homes. This is a very quiet street with not much action or entertainment going on. Definitely a nice safe place to live. There is a middle school located on Fort Hamilton Parkway. The students flood McKinley Park before and after school lets out. So, if you wish to take a run in the park during that time. You should probably pick a different time even though the kids ditch school sometimes and hangout in the park during the day the park isn't packed during the day.

4th St
"4th street lots to eat"
4th street has a lot to offer in housing. Offers a lot of variety in terms of places to eat and things to do. You will find many restaurants located on 5th avenue and Prospect Park is near by. Great location for families or for someone planning to start a family. Very convenient just about anything you need is within reach much like the rest of New York. Very warm and pleasant atmosphere. I really enjoy taking walks in this area.

"Great Block w/Great Looking Brownstones"
This is a lovely tree lined street filled with lovely brownstones. It is a family oriented street schools are near by and you see kids playing outside after school. Very attractive and safe area during the day and night. You will find great affordable restaurants on 5th avenue and a couple of bars. You have Prospect Park and Methodist Hospital near by. This is not a tourist location by any means it is residential. Fantastic Street and neighborhood to take a walk and enjoy a great day.

"Typical Park Slope Street"
This is a typical Park Slope street. It's a great area for families and for taking leisurely walks. A safe area during day and night time. Located right next to Prospect Park which is great for running, walking and bike riding. It's a family oriented location because schools are blocks away. It's a diverse area and transportation is easy to come by. I really enjoy this street because it has a great atmosphere and the apartment buildings are attractive.

Warren St
"Nice Residential Area"
Warren Street is a nice residential area. The brownstones are attractive and anything you need is within your reach. I love walking down this street and the area in general. You have the F and the G trains which is convenient. There is a Public Housing Complex on the street between Hoyt and Bond streets but they are safe during the day. There are lots of bars and affordable restaurants to choose from on Smith street granted they don’t offer the best service by they offer a lot of variety in cuisines.

Douglass St
"Residential Brooklyn street"
Douglass Street is a residential area in Brooklyn. The buildings are attractive but unexpectedly expensive. People pretty much mind there own business and the streets are never crowded. Smith Street is flooded with bars & restaurants, the service isn't very good but there’s a lot of variety. Douglass st. is a short walk from anything you might need. There is a Rite Aid and a Met Food a couple of blocks away. So, it makes this location pretty convenient. One thing I would say is GOOD LUCK with trying to find parking!

9th St
"Nice Brooklyn Street"
This is a nice Brooklyn street. You're right next to Prospect Park, the best park in BROOKLYN! A great place for a run or bike riding. 5th Avenue has several stores, it's not an amazing selection but it's a great place for a walk. You’ll find great affordable restaurants in the area too. You will find a CVS and a McDonalds among other things. This street has a calm feel because it’s never crowded and it’s a great street for families.

2nd Ave
"Lonely Avenue---Nothing Here"
There is absolutely nothing on this Avenue except for Lutheran Medical Center. There is no reason to walk on 2nd Avenue between 26th and 64th streets unless you have to go to the hospital, seriously. I would not walk that avenue during the night you might be mistaken for a hooker or get mugged. Needless to say this isn’t the safest street. You will find apartment buildings and factories in the area.
60th St
"Nothin' Special Here"
There is nothing spectacular about this street. Not as expensive as Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn but it's not as good of a location especially between 5th and 2nd Avenues. It gets nastier the closer you get to the water. The Gowanus Express Way is located on 3rd Avenue which makes it an extremely dangerous street to cross. It’s an extremely diverse area. This street is a melting pot of cultures. It becomes increasingly diverse the closer you get to the water.

West 37th St
"Same ol' Same"
This street is pretty much like the rest in this area except for 34th street. Easy access to just about everything and public transportation is near by. You are within walking distance of the shopping spectacular that is 34th street and the Empire State Building. There are a lot of bead shops in this area aswell which is nice if you like to make jewelery. You're basically in the fashion district. You will find fabric stores and dress shops in this area. Another great thing about this street and New York City in general are the payphones. You can find one just about anywhere and if you have a cell phone reception is good too.

East 97 St
"Dingy Drab Street"
I walked up this street for the first time today and I won’t again. It’s really dingy and it looks like it would be a sketchy area at night. Although, it looks pretty safe during the day. There is a Public Housing Complex “projects” a block away. They tend to be unsafe. On the other hand you have Mount Sinai Hospital a block away. So, if you’re in need of medical attention no need to worry.
East 72 St
"Quiet and Typical Upper East Side"
The back entrance of Marymount Manhattan College is located on 72nd street. Some students smoke cigarettes outside but it doesn't cause a disturbance. A lot more students stand on 71st street to smoke cigarettes than on 72nd street. It isn't a busy street at all and it's definitely not a college town. The dorms aren't located in the area so you don't even notice that there is a college in the area. What you do see is a lot of dog walkers with multiple dogs and lots of nannies with baby strollers. This is not a touristy or crowded area even along 5th Avenue so it makes it a great residential area. There are a lot of private doctors in this area and near this street as well. Pretty much anything you would need is in your reach.
York Ave
"E 73rd street is a lovely street"
This area is full of real estate opportunities. The residential buildings and the High Rise buildings are attractive. It is a very quiet, safe and clean street. There are so many amazing upscale stores on Park and Madison Avenues. There are lots of restaurants my favorite is T Bar. This is street has easy access to just about anything a person need. You can find affordable restaurants on 2nd Avenue.
East 69 St
"Easy transportation access"
The 6 train is a block away located on 68th and Lexington. Taxi cabs are always in the area. This is a high end residential neighborhood. Necessities are in walking distance and there are amazing upscale stores on Madison Avenue. The amazing Central Park is located on 5th Avenue. It is a really nice and quiet area. It’s pretty much a great street with easy access to just about everything. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from on 2nd Ave and they aren't as expensive as you would expect.
East 70 St
"70th street has all the necessities"
There is a Tasti-Delite on 3rd Avenue which is a great thing. It’s a quiet upscale residential area. Anything you need is in walking distance. There are a Bolton’s clothing store, nail salon, deli and a Food Emporium, just to name a few things. Catching a cab is easy in this area because taxis frequent the Upper East Side. 70th street is walking distance to the 6 train. This is a safe street during the day and night. Not alot of action goes on here.

"Fox 5 in the Upper East Side"
It’s a quiet residential area where rich people reside. There are High rise buildings all over the Upper East Side and you can see them as you walk down 67th street. The Fox 5 Television station is located on this block between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave. Sometimes when you pass by the building you may spot some of the TV Anchors or Journalists just standing outside, it’s pretty neat. Across from the TV station there is a nail salon called FOX nails which I think is kind of funny. This is a safe area during the day and night.
East 87 St
"Close Enough To 86th street"
Good location it's a block away from 86th street which has a lot of retail stores and a Burger King. Don't forget Papaya King which makes this amazing banana juice drink and it's totally inexpensive. It's not a pricey shopping area. It's not an AMAZING shopping selection but it's good enough for the necessities. It isn't ridiculously crowded good street to take a walk on.
East 66 St
"Movin' On Up To The East Side"
This is pretty much a typical Upper East Side street. It is an upscale residential area flooded with High Rise buildings. You are within walking distance from the 6 train which is located on 68th street and Lexington. There are many restaurants to choose from. Not all as pricey as you would expect on the Upper East Side. A lot of great things are within your reach on this particular street like Central Park, Madison Avenue shopping and the FOX 5 TV station which is located on 67th street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. You may catch a glimpse at some of the journalist from time to time I've seen a couple of them standing outside the building before. They also frequent 3rd Avenue sometimes to ask people on the street questions. So if you’re lucky you might be on TV!
East 36th St
"Near the Hustle and Bustle"
36th street is not as crazy and crowded as 34th street. On 1st avenue there is a nice small park. You are also in walking distance of the Empire State Building which is located on 34th street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Depending on where you are you can see the Empire State building from 36th street. It’s a nice street near the action but not the center of the action. Anything you may need is within walking distance and if it isn’t public transportation is great for getting around.

East 71 St
"Typical Upper East Side Street"
It's not a crowded or noisy street. It’s definitely an upscale residential area. There is a small college located between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave. Marymount Manhattan College is such a small college it’s barely noticeable if it wasn’t for the students that smoke their cigarettes outside. Also on the same side of the street there is a Grace’s Marketplace which, on garbage days leaves the biggest and smelliest pile of garbage I’ve ever seen. So a good tip would be just to walk on the opposite side of the street.
