"Parsells ave not a very desirable place to live"

Parsells Ave is not a very desirable place to live. There is high crime and drug activity. This area was once a very nice residential area until the flow of illegal drugs and crime came in. There are young men loitering on the corners and a lot of the properties are becoming abandoned. There is a nice little fish market right at the corner of Parsells and Webster, You can get just about any kind of fish you want from them. I would recommend any one go in this area without a strong body guard.

"Lyell Ave Home of the garbage plate."

I wouldn't want to live on Lyell ave. This area is a very bad section of the city. There is a lot of crime and drug activity in this area. There is even a strip club or two on this road. One thing that is good is the Garbage plates that are made on Lyell. If your not from Rochester your probably wonder what is a garbage plate. I know it sounds awful but really does taste good. You get a burger with macaroni salad, chili cheese fries and sauce piled on one plate. You eat this mixture but it actually really good. Rochester is famous for them. You can get them at almost every restaurant.

"Clifford Ave take you to Irondequiot"

Clifford is one of those roads in Rochester that leads you to the suburbs as well. Clifford runs along a very good neighborhood from start to finish. There is a really nice park with a pond where the children or a puppy can play as you move along Clifford there is some doctors offices and other small business. There is this famous ice cream parlor located on Clifford where you can go and have lunch or just dessert if you like. The ice cream is to die for. moving along towards Irondequiot is a small shopping center where you can shop and catch a movie before heading home.

"Chili runs right through the heart of Rochester"

Chili pronounce Chi li. You have to get it correct because the residents of Rochester don't like it when you pronounce it Chilly. This road run from the suburbs right back to downtown Rochester. You can get on the NY state through way off of this road as well. There is a super walmart located on this road as well as a few shopping centers. You can get shoe from fashion bug or have an evening meal at applebee. Then go across the street grocery shopping at Wegman's. There's a hotel on Chili with many restaurant to choose from. There's pizza hut. McDonalds, KFC. AppleBee. and other area restaurant. Chili is a great play for shopping therapy.

"I wanna go to the Beach."

One of my fondest memories is driving down Lake ave to the beach. Lake ave end at the beach, most of the beaches in Upstate NY are not the cleanest but this beach is an exception to the rule. The beach is name Charlotte Beach. There's a play ground and picnic area if you want to put some hot dogs on the grill. Dogs are not allowed there which helps keep for a clean place. There is always a great garage sales in the area as well. I got a really nice digital camera from one for $25 it was new in the box. Great bargains to be had down Lake ave.

"Dewey is a home away from home."

I have some really close friends that live on this street. The street is like a main street in Rochester. It is a busy traffic flowing road. There is a large high school on this street and many large residential homes. Most of the homes consist of Duplex's. There are a few little boutiques where you can buy shoe or a nice outfit. There are even a few salons and barber shops on this road as you move further down Dewey it leads to the Suburbs of Rochester. You wont reach there until you pass by one of Rochester's most productive businesses Kodak. Kodak has it head quarter right in Rochester and it's main building is right off Dewey and Lake ave.

"I love Alexander Street"

I lived on this street and also ran a Mortgage Brokerage in an Office Space on this street. This street is in a great neighborhood. It's a residential as well as commercial zoned area. I lived really close to main street. There are few little restaurants in the area. There is also a Delta Sonic for those who love to keep their cars clean. Alexander also runs across Monroe and Park Ave where all the night life happenings take place. This area is mostly filled with young Professionals or college students staying off campus. The houses in the area are large and very well maintained. I would recommend this area for anyone looking to visit or settle.

"Dont visit Jefferson Ave"

Jefferson Ave is one of the little dirty secrets of Rochester. This is not an area where you would want to take a wrong turn into. There is a lot of criminal activity and shady characters on Jefferson. This street is known for violence and drugs. There is a large Seventhday Adventist Church on the street that has a little vegetarian and health food store right inside of it. I wouldn't recommend anyone travel on this street especially during the night hours.

"Park Ave is the Party Place"

Park ave is the place to be on a Saturday night. You can always find something to do and something to eat. There is a nice variety of restaurants and a few clubs where you can dance the night away or just have a drink. This area is a great play to meet exciting and educated people. The community consist mostly of College students and young Professionals. This is an excellent neighborhood. I am just a fan of Rochester I guess. I have a lot of great memories in this town.

"I really miss Hazelwood"

I really enjoyed living on this street. If circumstances were different I would still be living there. I wanted to buy the house from the landlord but he was unwilling to sell. The street was to me a very good street to raise children on.There was a nice mixture of cultures on the street. The neighbors were fairly friendly and my children were able to play outside unmolested by traffic and other outside elements. There was a nice elementary school right around the corner that the children attended. I would recommend this neighborhood to anyone looking to settle in Rochester.

"Very very nice Street"

The Kenmore street in North Buffalo has been a nice area ever since I can remember. Rumor has it that there is a lot of mob activity that goes on over there, but over all the area is nice. There are many restaurant, mainly Italian. Kenmore is a great place to shop for anything you name it. There is the Italian festival that takes place every year on Kenmore the food is to die for. The people are very friendly and you will never be bored on a Saturday night in this area. There's a lot of happening night clubs in the area. Kenmore is a great place to live, shop, eat and party.

"Last stop in the City of Buffalo"

Niagara Ave is the last stop in the city of Buffalo if you go any further than that you will be in lake Erie literally. Niagara ave lead you from downtown Buffalo right to the town of Tonawanda and the City of Niagara Falls. You can take Niagara Ave to the boat docks where the waterfront park is in Buffalo or Niagara Ave will lead you to the Peace Bridge which connect Buffalo with Canada. As you move along Niagara there is a lot of factories and industrial plants. Niagara Ave is not a place I recommend for a family to visit but if your looking for work you might find it on Niagara Ave.

"Beautiful History mansions"

Delaware ave is one of the more favorable streets in the city of buffalo. There are many beautiful brownstones on Delaware along with many historic mansions. The famous Delaware park is runs right through it. This park is the park to go to when you want to jog, golf, play tennis, basketball, bike riding or just walking. The Buffalo Zoo is centrally located at the park. If desire to see a lion or two your in the right place. The city has always keep this area neat and clean. During the summer months there are free jazz concerts held in the park. Delaware Ave a great place to start your tour of Buffalo.

"We are the Indians mighty mighty Indians"

E Delavan is home to my high school Alma Mater. Seneca Vocational. This a very nice street. Not a lot of crime. There is also a large plant on E. Delavan that houses many automotive workers. There's a McDonalds and a KFC in case you may feel a little hunger pains and a great little Caribbean store that sells the famous patties everyone loves. The Erie County Medical Center which is the major hospital of the county is about a block away. There also residential homes on E Delavan.

"Great memories of yesterday."

I grew up on the inner city streets of Buffalo and every Sunday my brother, cousin and me would go on Jefferson to the Apollo Theater and watch a movie. I saw a lot of Bruce Lee Flicks there and I remember seeing ET for the first time there. They have renovated the old theater and now it a church a very nice church I might add. They have also built a supermarket right on Jefferson, which I thought I would never see. Jefferson was home of the old War Memorial stadium where the movie The natural starring Robert Redford was filmed. They have demolished that as well and there is now a great football field there for the schools. I am really impressed with the changes that we're made to Jefferson Ave. I don't mind traveling there for a visit.

"I want some Baileys seafood."

I like Bailey ave because there is the great fish market there. You can go there an get fresh fish or any kind of seafood you desire. Not only do they have fresh fish but they will cook it for you any way you want. The owners are very nice people. Bailey is a very busy area not only for business but for recreation. You can shop, party, eat or work on bailey. Bailey leads you to the Amherst suburbs of Buffalo. This is where many people have relocated. There are some unsavory elements in the area but it's still a decent area. I would feel safe living in the area with my children.

"Elmwood a happening place."

I grew up in Buffalo and every since I can remember the Elmwood strip has always been a place to go when your looking for food or just want to party. There are many great restaurants on this strip like Le Metro which is a great vegetarian restaurant and Town Restaurant for those who love Greek food. If you love pizza you can try Avenues pizza who has been around since I was a tot. Now for those who love sweets there is this place call sweet tooth that just sell sweets. Ice cream, cheese cake, cookies, rock candy you name it they have it. This is a popular place for college student considering Elmwood is the home of the Buffalo State Bengals. No matter what you like you can find it on Elmwood from Art, to bowling to dancing. I would recommend anyone visiting Buffalo to visit the Elmwood Strip.

"What happened to Moselle Street."

I lived on this street in the early 90's it was not the best neighborhood but it sure wasn't the worst either. Now the street has gone to the dogs. Many of the houses are abandoned and all the homeowners have left. Drugs and crime has come into the neighborhood at an alarming rate. I would suggest it you value your personal safety to stay away from this street.

"Where has the neighborhood gone."

This street and area is one of the city most run down areas. It's very close to the Broadway market. There is a Catholic church right on the street but it still does nothing for the neighborhood. I think all the houses on this street should be demolished and rebuilt. First the major alone with the police department must remove all the drugs and the unsavory characters.

"the street that separates the corporate world and the real world."

This is a very busy road. This to me is like a mini highway. It separates the corporate world of Downtown from the rest of the world. On one side of the street you have tall buildings leading you into the downtown area, and on the other city you have apartment house. Some are nice some not so nice. You can clearly see its the line of demarcation.

"I miss Baltimore."

I live in Baltimore for sometime, I didn't realize how much I would miss the place until I left. The harbor is a great place to visit especially during the 4th of July if you can find parking. The food is great especially at the Lexington Market. I always get a roast turkey sandwich and cookies when I go there . J Hopkins Hospital is ranked number 1 in the country. Many say its a violent city but, I didn't experience any violence when I was there. Many people seem to have a good connection with a higher power so I wasn't worried. In all I would recommend visiting this city and even living there. DC is really close and the cost of living is a lot lower than living there. It makes for a good commute during the week

"Not a place for Children."

Wilkens Ave is located on the west side of Baltimore. It is a main street with easy access to the 695 and other major highways. There is a hospital located on the street as well and you have many shopping centers nearby. The street is a pretty busy street so I wouldn't recommend it for children. There is no room on the sidewalks for them to run and play freely without a ball going into the street and risking danger. There is also access to 2 bingo halls for those who enjoy a good game of bingo. I did enjoy living here when I did, there is access to public transportation for those who don't have a vehicle. The bus will take you just about anywhere or get you close to where you need to be. There is a pest problem on the street the city tries to curb it by collecting garbage twice a week but it doesn't seem to help.
