West Sunrise Blvd, Sunrise

The Mall at Sawgrass has a very nice area to go out and have a nice dinner and then to go and get drinks and dance. It is a little light on the club area but have some very nice resturants and pubs. I have spent some nights just going from bar to bar either in the mall or up and down the road. They are usually packed with people around 9 pm and stay open until around 2 am. They get a little lighter in the am but a good atmosphere if you hate the overwelming nature of a night club. I would recommend this area for someone in there late 20s to early 40s.

From the I-75 all the way down to US1 this street is filled with restaurants, café’s, bars, and malls. The famous Sawgrass Mall is located on this street, a huge outlet mall with great deals. Going further east you have the Swap Shop where you can find just about anything it’s basically the broward county flea market. Sunrise then takes you all the way to the beach where you also have the well know Blue Martini Bar where many locals hang out. You definitely can find something to do on this street.

I believe that Sunrise blvd is probably THE most popular street in Ft.Lauderdale, especially east of I-95. This big swap shop is on this road, and that area is a little "shady", but once you get a little more east of 95 the area gets very "touristy". there are lots of restaurants as well as the beach! Whenever I head down to ft. laud, I go down sunrise for some of their awesome shops and one-of-a-kind restaurants. It is in a downtown area, so be safe when parking in isolated areas, and try to stay in parking garages where there are more people. Also, don't go walking down any alleys or side streets, common sense, yes. But it gets weird once you get past the tourist sections.

This street is located a few miles from the airport, where there is some hotels in the area. This street is also where there The world largest flea market, The Swap Shop Flea market is located since it is near State road 7. This street is popular with the locals as it has an turnpike and I-95 exit. This street is a three lane street.
