"Love this street; but, would NEVER live on it"

Crescent Heights is one of my favorite streets to drive on; but, it would be a nightmare to actually live on Crescent for the very reason I like driving on it: cars fly down this street. Nobody treats this street as though it's, predominantly, residential. Crescent turns into Crescent (from Laurel Canyon) as soon as you come down from the hill-- so at where Franklin would be.
Right at the corner of Crescent and Sunset is a slew of things to do. And, this area is jam packed. There is a nightclub called XIV on the north west corner of the street. It's your typical Hollywood club with bottle service. But, they have a Sunday afternoon party that's out of control. It's not my scene but if you're into your own taste of Ibiza on a Sunday afternoon, there's nothing else like this in the city.
Across the street is a huge commercial monstrosity across the street that has a great independent movie theatre, a couple of crappy restaurants, one of the only Crunch gyms in the city and a Burke Williams. This center is great for a ladies who lunch kind of day: fun gym class, art house flick and a massage. This is one of the few intersections that is usually packed with a lot of pedestrian traffic so if you're driving just be careful. This street is a straight shoot through all of West Hollywood and there aren't maybe turnoffs which is why Crescent is so effective for getting from A to B. You can get to Third from Hollywood on Crescent in about half the time that it would take on La Cienega.
The only Fred Segal on the east side of the city is at the corner of Crescent and Melrose so that's pretty noteworthy. All of the major street intersections have a lot to do (or at least a lot to do within a few blocks). But in between is all houses. I would absolutely hate to live in one of these houses no matter how beautiful most of them are. The traffic is never ending. It's not, generally, jam packed the way other streets are, but the cars go too fast and it's too loud and dangerous.
