"An alright to plain street."
7th Street starts at Market Street and runs through Downtown San Francisco. Once past The Embarcadero on 7th Street, it begins to run along (and below) the 280 Interstate freeway. There are several places to eat on 7th Street as well as nightlife clubs/bars. Generally there are just a lot of businesses and wholesale stores on the street. The street is pretty clean and somewhat alright in terms of traffic. During the time I’ve been there, it seems to be a safe street. I’ve also seen a substantially large amount, not necessarily large but more than other streets, of hotels/motels on 7th Street. There is also a hospital on 7th Street. There are some MUNI stops on 7th Street, but as you move away from Market Street, there’s less and less.
