"9th Ave Hub"
I miss living in the Inner Sunset right on 9th Ave above the crooked window, down the street from Le Video and Golden Gate Park. There are many restaurants and shops on 9th Ave between Lincoln Way and Judah that cater to UCSF students and residents of the Inner Sunset. The traffic is overwhelming especially on the weekends. When ever possible, take public transportation or walk because you will not find any parking.

9th Ave
"Good street for food!"
9th Avenue doesn’t have much to offer in terms of entertainment and nightlife because it’s mostly apartments and three-story houses. If you are in the Sunset District, once you pass Judah Street and continue on your way south, it will gradually become very uphill. However, if you happen to be between Judah Street and Lincoln Way when you are on 9th Avenue, you will find two blocks of tons of great eating places. There is a Jamba Juice, an amazing sushi place called Kiki’s, the infamous Arizmendi Bakery, and many other places in which you can get a quick bite to eat. If you wander off the avenue, there are grocery stores, hobby shops, and clothing stores to go shopping at. This specific part of 9th avenue is recommended for any group of family and friends looking for a good place to sit down and have a meal.

"Dining at 9th Ave"
9th Ave
9th Ave extends from Ocean Beach beyond UCSF Medical Center and is one of the busiest streets in the Sunset District of San Francisco. Although 9th Ave isn’t as busy as 19th Ave, it is filled with a variety of restaurants, shops and stores, especially oriental. The public bus line N and number 44 and 43 run on or around the street. There several apartment buildings and houses on 9th Ave and they are usually rated as moderately livable spaces. The prices in the area are also reasonable- not too expensive nor cheap. It is walking distance to Golden Gate Park, less than 10 blocks from UCSF hospital and 10 blocks away from 19th Ave. During the weekdays it can be fairly busy, but the weekends are more peaceful. Generally the cross street and the neighborhood have a good reputation for housing families and seniors. The only difficulty in this area is parking, but that is true for most of San Francisco.

9th Ave
"A very Busy Street"
19th Avenue is a very busy street. The street is the primary route to San Francisco State University and Golden Gate Bridge. Transport system is fast and easy. There are a number of restaurants, bars, shopping mall to thrill. The San Francisco State University is located in this street.
9th Ave
"Inner Sunset Oasis"
9th Avenue, where it crosses with Irving Street is possibly the Sunset District's most popular hangout. What is otherwise a mostly residential district, the Sunset area starts to actually look like a city within itself at 9th Avenue. Great nightlife scene as well as daytime chill area. Some highlights here: Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Pasta Pomodoro, Bank of America, many independent cafes, Pure Beauty and more.

9th Ave
"Great food surrounded by great neighbors."
This street is probably most known for its inner sunset portion. On this street in the inner sunset, there is a variety of delicious food and bars. It is very close to UCSF's hospital so you will see people in scrubs walking around frequently. This street takes you into Golden Gate Park right next to the new Academy of Sciences and the De Young Museum which was recently remodeled. On the other side of the park you would be in the Richmond district. It crosses over Geary and Clement Street which are small Chinatown-like streets. It ends over by a nice park which contains a lake by Lake Street. Besides in the inner sunset, traffic is relatively good. There is great mass transportation on the sunset side of the park. This street is very friendly and would be great for any type of family.

"Nice inner Sunset street with lots of great eating!"
9th Avenue is a pretty well known street in the inner sunset district. It distinguishes itself from the other nearby avenue streets for being a retail area. The intersection at 9th Avenue and Irving is flooded with restaurants, stores, banks, and various other establishments. Most notable on 9th Avenue are the restaurants. You can find nearly any type of restaurant within the area. It is home to some of the best Japanese food in the city. Also notable is the Ocean Tacqueria, Naan-n-Curry, Pasta Pomodoro, and San Tung Chinese Restaurant, just to name a few.
9th Avenue provides an entrance to Golden Gate Park and runs south of GGP almost all the way to the Forest Hill district. There are plenty of things to do at GGP on 9th Avenue which include 2 big sized baseball diamonds, museums, and lots of green to just relax!
The housing is mainly after 9th Avenue and Judah when all the shops, stores, and restaurants end. They are mainly the normal Sunset housing boasting nothing too special but very nice family townhouses at the same time.

"9th Avenue - Inner Sunset Main Street"
9th Avenue is the main north/south thoroughfare for the Inner Sunset neighborhood. At the intersection of 9th and Irving St. you will find many restaraunts, including but not limited to, Indian, Thai, Chinese, New Orleans style, American, Mexican, Korean and Mediterranean.
It's a great neighborhood for families with close access to Golden Gate park and the museums of GGP. E.g. the new DeYoung art museum and the soon to be completed Cal Academy of the Sciences. The music concourse is a wonderful gathering place on Saturdays and Sundays for families who live close by, and from around the area.
The schools are the best, bar none in SF, including Alice Fong Yu, Clarendon, Grattan and the list goes on.
