Atwater Dr
"parking, the river and shopping here."
You just gotta drive this stretch of road in both daylight and night. Daytime activites are park at one of the nearby lots and trot to the specialty shops, antiques, glassware, jewelry and many others. At night this street while not so interesting, is the gateway next to the Detroit River, the night lights from the city and across the river to Canada is to die for! The reflections ripple on the water surface, and you may even catch a glimpse of an upbound frieghter, that looks like a floating well lit city. If by water stop by a public peir and wander to a nearby eattery. Also this street abates the access to the Detroit/Windsor Tunnel, just turn onto Bates St and go right on E Jefferson St...follow the signs and have your passports ready when you go thru.
