Griswold St
"Please get out and look up...at night too!"
A drive down this street from downtown proper all the way to Grand River Ave., is awsome. If your not used to tall colorfull windowed buildings you'll want to park and admire! The lighting at night is spectacular. This part of the motor city you can see alot, some shopping downtown of course, lots of traffic, lots of traffic signals, and rush hour times like 6 to 9 am and 4 to 6 pm are somewhat bumper to bumper. Street is pretty well maintaned and cleaned regularly by street sweeper machines. Side walks a re neat and ordily, as well as trashcans evenly spaced for convience.

Griswold St
"Skyscrapers, and Neat Architecture"
Griswold begins in the heart of Downtown Detroit, and ends at Grand River Avenue. It is strictly a commercial, and business area of the city, with no residential facilities.
There are a few buildings that are worth checking out in terms of architecture, these include the Penobscot Building, and the Guardian Building which are both in the Art Deco style. All the major commercial buildings have a varying degree of retail stores within them.
There is not much of a street life, and people generally seem like they are in a hurry most of the time, not one of the friendliest places, but generally safe, and well kept.
