Birch St
"Narrow one-way street"
Birch Street is a short, 1 ½ block, and a one-way street heading away from the Panhandle/Golden Gate Park. Birch Street extends from Laguna Street to Octavia Drivers should be careful when turning onto Birch Street as to not head in the opposite direction of the one-way sign. Transportation is also easily accessible, as the 21 Muni Bus runs on Groove and Hayes Street, the 5 on McAllister Street, and the 16AX and 16BX on Gough Street. Hayward Playground is nearby on Golden Gate Avenue, and behind the Hayward Playground is Jefferson Square on Turk Street. On Webster and McAllister Street is the Ella Hill Hutch Recreation Center. There is also the Kushlnd Park on Buchanan and Page Street. City Hall is also just beyond Van Ness Avenue
Birch St
"Birch st: One way street"
This is a one way street and it is pretty narrow. It is mostly shady because of the tall buildings, giving it a very cold and somewhat creepy vibe. The street looks pretty deserted because not many people often pass by. Although the street may seem deserted, the houses/ apartments are decent., though they're not super nice. The street itself is not really clean, there are some oil stains on the ground, but the sidewalk is decent. Adjacent walls have paint over paint so there might have been graffiti. On the bright side, this street is good for crossing from Laguna street to Octavia street. Overall, this place is not the worst, but it is not the greatest either.
