"Another Long Street in Mira Mesa Area, San Diego, CA"
Black Mountain Road starts from Miramar Road where the Marine Corps Air Station is located. From here you'll have some idea how the place can be noisy with all those military planes and helicopters flying over you all the time! Yes, it can be very noisy! Added to that, traffic can be heavy as well. The Marine Corps holds an annual show some time in the fall, in September, before which they prepare for extended hours!
From there Black Mountain goes all the way deep north to the Mira Mesa area crossing with Mira Mesa Boulevard, which is a major one. On the way there, it crosses with smaller streets such as Carroll Canyon, Gold Coast etc. By the way, right at the intersection of Gold Coast Drive and Black Mountain, there is a community park called Hourglass. Here you'll find couples with kids, and young people a lot especially over the weekend. even though it is right on the Blavk Mountain Rioad, it is not that noisy, and the park area is always clean and well-kept by the City of San Diego's public service. Right next to the park, there is a community college Miramar. And right across from Miramar College, on the west side of Black Mountain, there is a high school. Since there are a number of schools nearby, the drivers strictly follow the road signs and speed limit.
The street is very clean as it is common in San Diego. Black Mountain Road serves as a major road for local public transportation as it joins Miramar Road, which leads to downtown San Diego, and Mira Mesa Boulevard though which you reach Scripps Ranch area as well.
It is very conveniently located to the Mira Mesa Shopping Place. I am pretty sure all the households come to the place for shopping. The street is safe, not once have I heard of any dnagerous incidents, which is a plus!
