"Un-noticeable Residential Area"
Gold Cost Drive crosses with Black Mountain Rd from the major roads. The street is residential solely. It has various apartment complexes. Some of them reasobaly cheap for San Diego, and some not bad at all. As the street is residential, you will not find any public places such as entertainment center or a place to eat out in the first place. You will have to get to the Mira Mesa Shopping Place to have you serviced, which is not bad and is very close. It is actually in less than a mile distance from the above-mentioned place. However, you cannot walk there to eat out definitely, as it will take at least 15-20 min, I assume.
Concerning safety, the neighborhood is quite safe and quiet. Public transportation is available as Black Mountain that crosses with Gold Coast Drive is a mjor one.
On the north side of the street, there is a community college Miramar. Therefore, local students who study there, or many international students who go to Alliant International University (that is in Scripps Ranch) usually rent out the apartments in the neighborhood. Overal, not a bad place to live in. Although not very recommendable for families with kids. I noticed only singles who are students or young working adults live there.
