"Very noisy, rough neighborhood"
Daniels Street runs north to south in an area near Southwest Detroit, an area known for Hispanic/Latino gangs and a high rate of crimes such as auto theft, assaults and breakins.
This street is west Of Livernois and has a high amount of pedestrian/vehicle traffic, especially in the late evening hours.
Many times throughout the evening hours, sirens from emergency, police and fire agencies are heard.
A local high school named Chadsey, which is about a half mile southwest of Daniels Street, closed recently due to insufficent funding from local, state and federal governmeents making this area serious lacking in schooling for older teens.
Since the Detroit Police Department rezoned their preconcts in the 90's, a local precinct at matin & McGraw was closed, escalting crime and lowering the residents' chances for police services in this area.
