East 196th St
"Very Green Street"
St. Paul Avenue is one of the greenest streets in this neighborhood. It is lined with flower boxes, trees, and hedges, making seem like a garden. It is also located close to Pelham Bay park, and I’ve seen more than one family walk down the street after being caked in mud from the Pelham Wetlands. There is not as much community interaction as in other areas, but the greenery and location make up for it.

"Run down apartments and scary at night"
E 196th street is lined with apartment buildings and is a little dirty. There are some scary alleyways that you don't want to cross late at night. It's a pretty safe street during the day, but it is a little sketchy after hours. There is a liquor store right on 196th and Jerome that is pretty busy all of the time. I would always stop by there for ice cream during the summer.
