Edsall Ave
"To take the train"
The only point to this street is that it connects Johnson ave to the Spuyten Duyvil Metro North station. From here, trains heading towards Manhattan take about 25 minutes to reach Grand Central station. In the other direction, the train goes up to Croton Harmon, and connection is available to points further north. The river is beautiful as it shines by this road, but this area is most significantly a thoroughfare. Although there are some houses here, it seems that it would be pretty isolating to live here. Also, when it snows, the street becomes incredibly traitorous as it is not very well salted or lit. I only come here to take the train.

"The only reason you'd go is for a great view and a metro north station"
Edsall Ave. is basically a circular road with a primary function of servicing the Spuyten Duyvil Metro North Station.
Trains heading towards Manhattan can get you to Grand Central in 25 minutes or less. It is very convenient to live NEAR Edsall Ave. but I would never want to live on this road.
The only time I visit this road is to take Metro North.
This road is pretty b/c there are many many trees---but it is isolated and desolate.
The view from the Train station is beautiful---looks over the intersection of the Harlem and Hudson rivers. Absolutely beautiful. Across the hudson the Pallisades are clearly visible. The view is the most beautiful in the fall---when the leaves are changing. The view is so pretty that you can often see artists creating oil paintings of the view on the train station platform.
Overall, this street is very handy and provides easy access\parking for metro north. The view is gorgeous, but the only reason I visit is for the train.
