"Totally Wort The Trip"
This area is truly a gem if you live in the Bronx. This street is definitely worth a visit, and I’m not just saying that, I actually make the trip up here from Manhattan. It has one of the best butchers in Riverdale and the service is friendly and unbeatable, and of course much less expensive than in Manhattan. I have family that lives nearby, and we enjoy coming through here, especially during the warmer months. It is just a delightful street to stroll by, and very family friendly. It is not as crowded as the adjacent streets, and so it is also much less noisy. It is convenient to get to too because it is right next to the Spuytin Duyvil Metro North station, 25 min from Grand Central.

"Cute little shopping center---worth visiting just for the butcher."
This is the cutest little shopping center in the Bronx.
If you love to cook meat--then this street is worth the trip. There is a grocery store that has the friendlies employees and the best meat market\butcher in the Riverdale neighborhood. They cut meat to order and the prices were half that of their competition in Manhattan. I lived nearby and traveled to this street JUST for the butcher.
I'm not sure if this street contains residential buildings but there certainly are some nearby. The adjacent streets (Kappock, for example) gets lots of traffic from the Henry Hudson Parkway. There currently is construction and it looks very messy.
This street would not provide all of the essential services---most would need to travel to 235th street to go out in the evenings and\or to complete all necessary errands.
But, this street feels safe, is cute, the people are very friendly, and the service is unbeatable.
It is EXTREMELY close to the metro north Spuyten Duvyl train station which gets you to Grand Central station in 25 minutes or less.
