Hughes Ave, Palms

This was a nice area to live in. There are allot of animal owners in the neighborhood specifically dogs so you may meet new people or dogs while taking them for a walk. Very nice street with trees and good atmosphere. The area was decently priced and then once the house market boomed it jumped through the roof we could have stayed, but we were worried if it would keep jumping (there is no rent control).There is a liquor store at the corner but it does not bring down the quality of the neighborhood. The apartment I lived in did have some brake ins’ with cars usually around big holiday's 4th of July etc....So if you’re looking at apartments in this area make sure the place has good cameras and security for your parking. The apartment I lived in was at the corner, if you look for apartments I would stick to non corner apartments.
