Locust St, University City

Located on Locust Street and 8th streets you'll find one of the most beautiful parks in Philadelphia. Washington Square park is a less populated, cleaner park with tons of restaurants to grab a bite to eat. This is also a great area for dog walking. Kids seem to love the fountain situated in the middle of the park.

40th Street between Locust and Walnut Streets is home to a number of restaurants that cater mainly to university students and staff. During the days and evenings of the academic year it is always full of students, while the summers are quieter. The areas near this street are dominated by off campus housing and fraternity housing for students making the area both noisy and the streets generally littered with trash and beer bottles. Having said that, some of the restaurants are fine for a quick bite to eat and there is also a book store, shoe store, movie theater, and grocery store on this block. All in all, its a good place to pass through on errands but probably those out of college would not like to live in the immediate area.

Locust street has many places of entertainment. Among these there are theaters, shopping centers and restaurants. Restaurants and cafe's have varieties and flavors to offer. You cannot feel boredom when on this street. Cafe lounges and music stores give you a better street. I liked Prime Rib restaurant for the delicious sea food they serve. Shopping stores also sell products at reasonable rates.
