Sansom St
"Neat street for browsing shops or grabbing a bite to eat"
Sansom Street between 34th and 35th streets is a hidden gem close to the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Lined on one side of the street by Penn dorms, the opposite side has a number of interesting shops and eating places including a tea house, coffee shop, New Deck pub, and the eclectic Black Cat gift shop. Also on this street is the White Dog Cafe, which is a sure bet for a delicious meal of locally grown foods. A great place to visit if you are in the area and its easily reached by either the 42 or 21 bus or the blue lines 36th St. stop. Although many of the businesses also have apartments on their second or third stories, I think this would be a much better street to visit than to live on because of the noise from the pub and restaurants during the evenings.

Sansom St
"Visit Philadelphia's Jewlers Row"
On of my most pleasant Philadelphia surprises is Jewlers Row. Located on Sansom St. between 7th and 8th Jewlers is a busling clean and vibrant area of Jewlrey stores and shops. No matter what your'e looking for you'll find it in one of the over 50 shops here. Take a moment to enjoy shopping.

Sansom St
"One of the nicest areas in the city"
Sansom Street runs parallel to Walnunt St. from the Schuylkill River to the waterfront and cuts through several city neighborhoods, most notably Rittenhouse Square.
There are many condo buildings along this stretch. Some are cramped but affordable, many are luxury units. Parking can be expensive. I consider this area to one of the nicest in the city.
