"A European feel"
Located right in the heart of Union Square, Maiden Lane runs between Kearny and Stockton Streets and is only walkable as it is closed off to cars. High end shops such as Chanel, Yves St. Laurent and Gucci line up along this leafy street. Also Mocca on Maiden is a nice moderately priced Italian place that has alfresco and indoor dining. You definitely get that feeling like you are at an outdoor cafe in Europe when eating at Mocca surrounded by the hustle and bustle that Union Square brings.
Maiden Lane is a must see if you go to Union Square since it's connected to the square practically.

"A street for your feet"
Maiden Lane is a short, two-block pedestrian thoroughfare, closed off to traffic. Found in the heart of the Union Square shopping district, Maiden Lane runs parallel to Geary and Post, between Stockton and Kearny. Filled with upscale shops and sidewalk cafes (with tables right out in the middle of the street), it's the perfect location to play tourist or actually be a tourist. It's just minutes away from dozens of Union Square hotels.
Another treat unique to Maiden Lane is catching the opera singers that frequently perform at the end of the lane. These long-time street performers have become minor celebrities and add to the local color.

"Maiden Lane: Beautiful"
Maiden Lane is a short path that intersects and connects Kearny Street and Grant Avenue. Maiden Lane always seems so bright, sunny, and festive. People are always eating outside when there is good weather, the seats are located right in the middle of the lane so it looks very inviting to people passing by. There are several stores located in this small lane too, and they are very well known. There are shops on both sides of Maiden Lane, Grant has hundreds of shops and companies and so does Kearny Street. There are bus stops and plenty of taxis that pass by Maiden Lane, but sometimes the buses are crowded since the two streets Maiden Lane intersects are popular with the locals and the tourists. Maiden Lane is beautiful and picture worthy, it is a great place to visit.
