"The Main Connection between Lafayette and Moraga"
This is how most people coming from the Contra Costa side of Highway 24 get to Moraga. Because it is a one lane somewhat winding road, it can get pretty busy during the early morning and late afternoon rush. St. Mary's road is the main detour but it adds a good 20-25 minutes onto your drive into Moraga.
Morago road is really quite attractive in a bucolic sort of way, but because it is so busy much of the day it is not very good for pedestrians or surrounding houses. For this reason most homes are placed away from the road with noise breaks.
Where Moraga meets Mt. Diablo Blvd. their is nice little shopping center with a Starbucks and a great little family friendly pizza place as well a couple of good breakfast places and two supermarkets.
