State Rte 440, Hackensack River Waterfront

I go to RT 440 when I want to get to stores like Old Navy, Staples, Marshalls, Toys R US, or when I want to eat at Applebees, Burger King, or Taco Bell. The highway can take you to other places that you may need to get to like Pathmark, The Home Depot and Ihop. There are several gas stations located on the highway that to me right now have some of the best pricing in the city. I mean there are not many houses along RT 440 but it is close to Society Hill. With it being close to many car dealerships and places to eat I travel the road alot for shopping.

I live on one side of Rt. 440 and cross it every week to get to work. This really is one of the most useful highways I've ever visited in my life. Besides being a good highway for cars to use to get places, it also supports automboiles of all kinds like motorcycles, trucks, vans, and even a bus. The bus, the 440 Shopper, allows pedestrians and other vehicularly challenged to access the many shopping opportunities available on the highway. Hudson Mall, K-Mart, Pathmark, Raymour and Flanigan, Home Depot, Old Navy, IHOP, etc., make this highway a valid option when deciding where our next shopping trip will be, making it unlike other barren highways with the occasional restaurant or gas station every few miles. Rt. 440 definitely serves the community. However, it would be nicer if it were cleaner and even more pedestrian-accessible, considering the number of stores located there.
