"Love this street."
Sunset Blvd is a very hyped up street in Los Angeles. But, that's because it's a great street. It spans the entirety of Los Angeles and changes quite a bit along the way. But, even in the areas that it's not beautiful, it's definitely interesting. Sunset starts, literally, at the ocean in Malibu. If you're interested in taking the long way back from the beach, it's quite scenic. Sunset cuts through some beautiful neighborhoods in Brentwood and the Sunset Plaza area is one of my favorite little areas in the city. Driving to the west side on this route is beautiful because you can see the sun setting into the ocean for quite a while. Sunset curves around through Bel Air, Westwood and Beverly Hills and this is the really beautiful part. The road is windy and the houses are massive and gorgeous. And, there are so many trees in the Bel Air and Westwood area that the street is always shaded. People fly down this part of Sunset though, so you have to be careful.
Coming into Beverly Hills and West Hollywood is the Sunset that everyone knows. There is a ton of traffic, it's loud and it's really bright. It's almost like the Times Square of LA. There are tourists everywhere. There are trendy restaurants, nightclubs, shops. It's really busy and really loud but it has to be quite exciting for people who have never been here.
Sunset gets a little shady around Highland. There are a lot of tranny hookers in this area so I wouldn't hang out here any time after dark. Plus, it's ugly around here and there's no reason to go there except for Del Taco or the one sports bar on the corner Happy Ending. Well, actually, The Woods is a really cool bar but that's on the West side of the street so I guess it doesn't count.
Sunset gets cool again at Sunset Junction in Silverlake. The annual Street fair is one of my favorite things to do. They close down Sunset at Hillhurst and there is a ton of live music, food and people. The bands are always spectacular and it's an all-around great time. Malo is one of my favorite places in the city and it's on Sunset at the junction.
Sunset is so diverse depending on what neighborhood you're in. And, because it can be quite scenic and much faster than any other surface street for cross-town travel, I always take the Blvd.

Sunset Blvd
"I don't get the hype"
Sure the Sunset Strip is famous and you have the houses and the restaurants, but maybe if you can afford it it's fun. I got lost on this street one night and it was no walk in the park. It was safe, but it was lonely as well maybe I just wasn't on the right part of it, but oh well. I did see the scientology church and that was weird because I really never see those in the midwest, probably for a good reason, so I took a photo for fun. I guess if you are a tourist you should go to sunset at least once otherwise eh leave it be and stick to Hollywood and Highland the heart and epicentre of the great city of Hollywood.

Sunset Blvd
"Lots going on on this road including the famous strip. A must visit."
Ever hear of the Sunset Strip? Well this is a small section of Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The Sunset Strip houses many famous restaurants, night clubs, and bars. 9 times out of 10 you will catch a celebrity walking down the street, eating at an outdoor restaurant, or driving by in their hummers or vipers. This road is pretty much the hot spot of LA or at least one of the main hot spots. If you don't plan to visit Sunset Blvd, you might as well not even bother coming to LA.
