Telegraph Rd
"Built with speed in mind"
Telegraph is a 45 MPH road featuring many niche stores and fast food stops (such as a '50s style McDonalds), with a couple of sit down restaurants to boast.
Homes here are small and plentiful. Noise is definitely a factor, but my friends who live along Telegraph seem to have gotten used to it, and is not bothered. Elementary and middle schools are located near by; the high schools are farther away.
The coolest thing about this road is that a couple times a year people take out their classic, modified, or just plain fancy cars and drive them up and down this road. Thousands of cars are shown off and people line up along the edge of the road to check out the cars.

If you want to see classic cars, try the Woodward Dream Cruise, or just visit Henry Ford Museum. Ah, heck, go ahead, on a summer's evening: try Telegraph between Dearborn Heights and Taylor; it's an anthropological field trip: complete with troglodytes and their low-riders. While you're there, don't forget to say "hi" to the 50-year old with the mullet (hanging low in a greasy pigtail under his balding pate) driving his 1978 Camaro, either!
