"Nice street near the college"
The housing on this street is amazing. i love the old brooklyn style apartments with the radiators in them. they are very exspensive tho. i don't think they should be located across from a desolate field.I guess it provides recreation because i noticed a few kids playing baseball as i walked by. I found some great Chanel earrings from a local flea market stand. It was only 3 of them so i guess it can be called a market. The atmosphere is friendly and has that Brooklyn charm.

"Nothing but industrial areas, not much to see."
This street is full of industrial areas or industrial buildings that were once up and moving. I found a frozen lemonade stand in the middle of September! how cool is that? I just liked the traveling around different areas but you will never know what you will find next around the corner. On the other hand, the back part of the street has many nice homes and residential areas. the sidewalks are surprisingly clean.

"Crowded together, high traffic"
I stumbled upon this street trying to locate a hair salon i was locally told about. the houses were very close together. and everyone i asked talked to me like i was suppose to know where this pplace was. its called Sydneys and from general conversation.I think it was located in one of the residences. I didnt come all the way to New York to get my hair done in the garage.. The only Conveinece is the stores that surround almost every block. I guess to make sure if there isn't enough space, theres plenty of places to go outside.

"Noisy and crowded, not likely to visit again"
I visited this area searching for a townhouse My boyfriend and i noticed the street was littered with bums and alcoholics. We didnt bother asking anyone for residential information because no one seemed friendly enough. We had the children with us and the best thing i could think of to do was buy an icee from the local ice man. They had a blast but i truely saw what this street was made of.Houses were crowded and too close together. that means everyone in your business.

"Nice area, Lots of stores"
The last time i came here once again was with my boyfriend who is from this area. We found lots of local stores and vendors where i bought a pair of red bottom pumps for only 50 dollars (knockoffs) . My daughters got some cute one of a kind airbrushed jackets from a store called Anthony's. We ended our day at the Papaya king located downtown i know but i've heard so much about their hotdogs i just had to try one.

"Nice neighborhood , high traffic"
I absolutely loved this street! The houses are really close together but the neighbors dont seem to mind it. I like the street because the Polytechnic University is right around the corner. I got the directions to Juniors famous cheescake from a local resident who actually just wanted a quarter. I like this area because i love to get my hair done and it offers the best wig shops i've ever seen.

"Noisy right under the expressway"
I wouldn't want to live on this street because of the noise. The Brooklyn Queens expressway is located right behind the street. Aside from the many vendors that sell anything from purses to shoes. this area doesn;t really have much to offer. I would take the trip outside of this area to get anything i would need. You risk the chance of it being stolen. And you can forget about parking on this street. I rather take public transportation

"Industrial area near water"
This street doesnt have much of anything except vendors who probably can't get on a regular traffic street because there are so many of the. This building is located near the water so you do smell fish alot. They have some abandoned buildings it seems like they are working on. I guess we would have to check back later to see some of the progress. I went to a warehouse out here that sold antique furniture. So i guess that was a good find. Im sorta wishy washy about this area.

"Not much to see here"
Unless you want a tour of rundown buildings and bums. I recommend this street. It looks like the businesses that did occupy this street once flourished. The businesses now are barely hanging on. I wouldn't want to go in any of these resturants to eat anyway. The windows are filled with a 2 inch dust. I didn't even get familiar with the people of this block because i got akward stares like i was suppose to know where i was. Bottom line i won't be coming back.

"True New York neighborhood"
This is the true essence of Brooklynn, Croweded streets and many sovenier shops as the eye can see. They have wonderful food stands where you can fill up for under 5 bucks. The streets aren't very dirty just normal litter here and there.I met some friendly locals from another country.(not so local) and they told me the best spot to grab some good jazz and a plate of delicious soul food. Amazingly it was just a few blocks from here.

"Overall quiet area, many homes"
There isn't anything mean that I can say about this street Chicago has given me alot to go off of whenever I think about it. I had wonderful experiences driving through Chicago and terrible ones but this was one of the more mediocre. This street did not impress me. The sidewalks were filthy, there were cars parked so far from the sidewalk that you couldn't help but wonder what they were thinking and you couldn't help but deal with the traffic that came back and forth. I don't think I'll use this as a short cut anymore

It was wonderful to drive past this road and wonder what it would be like if I actually turned down it. The homes down this street look very inviting and the residents seem to have this wonderful smile on their faces and I wasn' t disappointed. At the end of my rope with this area today. I've been back and forth about it and it just seems to come back to the bad things. I think my biggest problem with this street is the lack of regard to parking! Does anyone know how to park closely to the curb!?? I do !!! Let me park your cars for you so I dont' feel like I'm going to hit you when I drive past you. It's a big annoyance and it's a waste of time when I have to try to drive around you.

"Unfriendly people, Noisy"
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be so throughly annoyed with a street to the point where if I could just put curse words only I would!!! It was soo annoying!! The residents first off were a little mean. I spoke to two gentlemen and asked for directions and got the finger from one and the other gave me directions to a cemetary. No offense to the street. Maybe there are some nice poeple and some nice things to say about the area but I can't think of any. Especially when I rode past there about an hour ago.

"Friendly People croweded houses"
I wanted to buy a house in this area at one point during a past visit to my cousin. She lived in this area for quite some time and took me on a little tour to see the other homes that were available here. I loved the fact that this street offers you access to one of the major streets that you would need to access but that's also the downfall. You could tell that the traffic had caused some damage to the streets and you'll see what I mean when you hit that big hole if they don't repair it.

"Noisy but well structured"
Okay, so I drove down this street because I got lost while trying to find my way to go shopping. The street seemed to be too small to me. Or maybe it was the way that everyone parked on this street, none the less it was annoying. There were kids walking accross the street while everyone was trying to drive by one another without scratching eachother's cars. It was absolutely rediculous how it all went. I will never ride through there again but there are a few cute houses that I would love to take a peak into if I had the chance to .

"Quiet Friendly area"
I loved this street! The parking was kind of aggrivating especially when you are driving down this road after 6 pm and you know that the residents are in a rush to get home while I'm there to just take a gander at there homes but wow! I would love to find some real estate in this area! The homes are viewed as older models and there are alot of one story homes on this street but it gives you this warmth of home and grandma's house. You can't shake or beat that when you are a tourist visiting the area and you miss home already after two days.

"Great Inner city living."
Alot of people don't see the beauty in naturally aged buildings and the architeture that made this place great. There are alot of great homes as well as sculptures that occupy this city but I personally took a drive to visit the residential areas to get an idea of what everyday life was like. I love the older homes and the care that is put into them. When you drive down this street you realize exactly how much effort was put into the restoration and maintence of this area.

This area of Los Angeles is a great family oreinted area. With the Barrington Recreational Center nearby, its plenty of spots, games and after school activities for your young ones. "Busy street , UCLA"
Located in the heart of UCLA, Strathmore st is a hustle and bustle of students and undergraduates. Its not much standard housing available in this area because of all the Greek Houses. The Greek houses are local fraternaties that populate this area. They have great cheap eateries located around the college though. I guess that makes up for housing. If you can stand the noise after 9 p.m. of the students then I recommend this place to you.

"Not the cleanest college area"
This area isn't the cleanest street but its close to the college. The streets are filled with resturants and pubs that serve food to suit the college students needs. There are a few bookstores aligned on the street but strategically placed between a bar and another bar. I don't think that was a good idea. "Noisy Crowded. too much traffic"
I wasn't pleased with this area of Los Angeles. Even though it has enought discount stores to throw pennies at. I did not like the atmosphere. The people were sort of rude, clamoring back and forth into store after store. They acted as though all the items were going to disappear. There were only a few shops and a nice day spa located on Lime St. I visited the day spa and got so-so treatment maybe i need to do a little more research before i just try one of those again.

"Busy Noisy, Couldn't live in this area"
Too much noise and traffic for me to settle on Olivewood Dr. With all the stores and schools around the noise doesn't seem to end. It is a few churches along here but i don't see how anyone could reach them or even enjoy services because it is so loud. i found many places to eat and drink. Plenty of bars here but i wouldn't even enjoy my spirits because the highway is located right on the other side.

Don't get me wrong chestnut isn't all about shopping. They have some nice homes available for couples or retirees. I went to a lovely homemade cheesecake diner complete with roller skates. the stree is very clean and the people are very respectable.

This place is great for people who want to retire. There isn't much to do for recreation but plenty of places to eat. I've noticed almost every block was having a bbq or a cookout. I wonder if it was a local holiday or everyone just wanted to be friendly. As you know i went to this one too and loaded up on favorites of the neighborhood. These homes are really nice and stay that way because of a 24 hr neighborhood watch on the area. I recently stayed with my sister in her home on Calle Tierra Santa and was very impressed with the organization of the block party. Licoln Ave crosses the very busy Van Buren Blvd. It has many businesses along the way. I found a few discount hair stores along Lincoln Ave. They have numerous hair salons. I was astounded in how many times a week a female can visit the same salon even though there are thousands. I grabbed a quick bite to eat at this local mexican eaterie. I visited here with my boyfriend and one of his friends lives in one of the houses along Pacific Street, he's paying a moderate price for his rental. It had my mind turning about moving out here. I would recommend this for families and people who want a little piece and quiet.

Lakeside Hills Ct
"Great Neighborhood, Not much Recreation"
This is a great street as far as convience is concerned. With the hospital around the corner this would be ideal for people who need this in close perimeters. It does'nt have much to offer the advid shopper. I didn't really notice any kid friendly shops around this area. This is a great morning area to shop without the children, But with a Dairy Queen sprinkled here and there, It shouldn't be a fuss.

North 90th St
"Noisy, Alot of Traffic Great shopping"
This is a busy street in Omaha, NE, but it makes up for it with a selection of stores and resturants. You can spend a whole day on this rd and find what you need without having to visit the mall or plazas. I stopped at Ashby Sterlings Icecream to satisfy my sweet tooth when I was there. You want to talk about a daily addiction? Its the best homemade icecream I've ever had. That alone makes it stand out to me.

Pratt Plz
"Quiet Neighborhood Ideal for Retirees and Families"
Pratt Plaza wouldn't stand out if it wasnt for the lovely homes and friendly neighbors. This is ideal for someone who likes peace and quiet but still loves to be in the middle of things. With schools in walking distance, this is a great place for a new family to start off. A few convienent shops sprinkled among the street, you can grab something sweet and this mom & pop breakfast nook I visited.

West Maple Rd
"Quiet Friendly with lots of shopping and eats"
I was so excited to stumble upon this area in Omaha. Its loaded with all sorts of treasures for all tastes. If you enjoy golf, the beautiful greens will catch your eye. Along with plentiful shopping, it ranges from apparel to antique shops. I stopped and had a quick bite to eat at Carrabas. It was moderately priced. Alot of locals say the best time to visit is during Christmas.

"Great little shops, Not much to view"
My boyfriend was stationed in Omaha NE and I would frequently visit him. W Center Rd , there really isn't much to look at. Its an low traffic industrial area with commercial buildings. I had a hard time even trying to locate an Ihop. I did happen to find one right along W Center Rd.. The people are very friendly and a few local shops.

Victory Blvd
"Noisy, Nothing to do recreational, no people"
This area is congested with traffic and is very noisy. One could'nt even take a nap at the nearby hotels if they wanted too. There isn't many places to shop or find things to entertain. The stand resturants are around but nothing fancy. The area is industrialized and commeriacl. Lots of small developments along the rd.

"Family oriented, convient to shopping great schools"
My aunt lives along this street and I think its pretty quaint, untold within the horror stories of New York. The neighbors are very helpful and friendly when I didn't know my way around. I found a great closeout store called Lots Less Closeouts. Its located on 3155 Amboy rd. It had some of the best deals I've come across in a long time.

Page Ave
"Great Path for beginners, Nice friendly atmostphere."
I feel like Page ave leads you to some of the best Staten island has to offer. There are lots of small businesses and developments along this street. Not much shopping on the actual street. That dream is reachable traveling a small distance. You migh find a few discount stores along the way. Good way to save a dollar while traveling

Marsh Ave
"Convienent shopping , Friendly people,"
I never thought I would stumble upon an area so convenient for me!. I found the best discount stores and dress shops. Located just a step away is the Staten Island Mall. I found a great little Itailian eatery that serves the best Chicken Parmesean Subs ever!. I found myself a little overwhelmed trying to chose between the mall and strip stores.

Wilcox St
"Great quiet living, not much recreation."
Wilcox street is lined with comfortable ideal family homes. The local neighbors are extremely friendly and its easy to feel right at home. One who likes to shop would need to travel outside of this area. This is full of family atmosphere and charm. A few eateries sprinkled in between was enough to satisfy my appetite

"Quaint Neighborhood, Friendly People, Small Businesses"
This street seems to connect all you want to get too. The neighborhoods out here are nice, but there isn't much to do. No nighclubs or surrounding bars. This one is for someone who wants to experience old neighboor quiet charm. It has nearby departmants stores for the deprives shopaholic.

Richmond Ave
"Noisy, Plenty of traffic, Good Places to shop"
Richmond Ave is the busiest street in Staten Island in my opinion. If you don't move at a fast pace, this isn't the street for you. Full of a variety of stores from discount to high end, Richmond Ave offers to all taste. If u want to grab a decent bite to eat without emptying your wallet, plenty of bang for you buck resturants in tow.

Briggs Ave
"Great Food, Friendly People and great unknown icecream shop!"
I actually loved my visit to Briggs street. I went with my cousin in search of icecream and shoes. I got a great coffee blend and a pair of red shoes for 29 dollars! The people were very friendly when I asked around for directions and places to shop. I definitely reccommend visiting if you want to stumble upon a secret icecream palace.
Pugsley Ave
"Great little shops and pizzerias!"
I recently wanted a great slice of pizza and stumbled upon D' Angelo's Pizzeria located at 1160 Pugsley Ave. Pugsley Ave has more than enough shops for anyones taste whether it be clothes or just knick knacks .With great eateries for food under 5 dollars, You can spend the day shopping and not feel bad taking a break to stuff your face.

Cross Bronx Expy
"Industrial and Commercial Area, Not Ideal for shopping"
Its very busy and lot of traffic. There aren't many places to do any shopping and the traffic causes constand noise. Its great to get you to surrounding nice residential neighborhoods. Surrounding the street are lots of industrial and commercial businesses and buildings. Not to be mistaken as a tour path, it offers nothing for the shopper; soul.
Crosby Ave
"Nice Neighboorhood, Low on Fun"
With many churches and small businesses, this residential area is ideal for people who don't like a lot of traffic. Not many places to grab a cheap bite to eat. You may have to travel outside of this neighboorhood to get the real feel of the hustle and bustle of New York. The friendliness is constant but not the fun.

"Rundown, Not Ideal for Families"
On my recent trip to visit my guy friend in New York, he just purchased a home on Ampere Ave. In my opinion its not an ideal neighborhood for families and couples. Its rundown and there is not much to do in the surrounding areas. A few corner stores here and there. I wouldn't want to waste a visit going back

Many laugh at the name Hoe Ave, but its far from it. Its a friendly neighborhood and the people are surpising friendly. Its not an ideal place for shopping or eating. Its a few resturants nearby but it seems like everything is located on Southern Blvd. The residential area seems nice for familes and retirees who don't like a lot of hustle and bustle.

Hunts Point Ave
"Run down area but Great Discount Shopping"
On my recent trip to Bronx NY, I went with my cousin down to Hunts Point Ave. The surrounding area is run down and beaten but it has great discount shopping. I visited the 99 cents Plus Discounts & Hair Store to get supplies. They have many things for the up and coming salons or just personal name brand items for really low prices. I recommend this area for shopping. I do not recommend this area for living purposes
