"Via La Cresta-- Very friendly neighbors."
Via La Cresta is an amazing street. There is a real friendship amongst the neighbors. They have a nighborhood party for Labor Day, with bouncers and great food. The street is super wide, so parking is never a problem. There is a bus stop at nearby Hawthorne Blvd. Some high school kids take it to the Peninsula High School. The park is within walking distance and it offers stunning ocean views.

"Via la Cresta-- Wonderful street for families."
Via la Cresta is a great street for families. Most homes on this street are fairly large with nice big back yards. Some back yards are park like. Many homes have stunning ocean views. The street itself is very wide and flat for the most part. I taught my son how to ride his bike without training wheels on this street. It was perfect because there is no through traffic on this street. This street always has plenty of parking. It’s perfect if you plan a big party with lots of guests.
Ryan Park is within walking distance to Via la Cresta. It’s a gorgeous park with stunning ocean views. In my opinion it’s the prettiest park on the Peninsula. It has a huge lawn, playground equipment, picnic areas, baseball field, and a basketball court. You can even borrow balls, bats and gloves from the recreation center at Ryan Park. It’s a very popular park for birthday parties.
Many residents on Via la Cresta have lived here for many years. People know each other well. You know their names and their stories, and they help each other out. The elementary school (Point Vicente Elementary) is only a few minutes away, so is the Golden Cove Shopping Center which features a Trader Joe’s, a gas station, a Montessori School, restaurants, and other small shops.

"A perfect street to raise a family!"
This is the street I grew up on. It is it's own community. Granted, P.V. is known for the preppy, spoiled, and elite crowd, this is a good mixture of upper-upper-middle-class and humble beginnings on this street. Most of the people here are "old money", but that doesn't detract from the area. if anything, it make a very nice place to raise kids. Plus the walk to the park is so short and there are outstanding views from your backyard.
